WhileDestiny 2players have been able to play the base game and all of its current expansions on the console version of Xbox Game Pass, the same can’t be said for the PC version of the subscription service. However, that’s about to change later this month whenDestiny 2and its expansionsland on Xbox Game Pass for PC.
Last year, the arrival ofDestiny 2and its newest expansion Beyond Light on Xbox Game Pass was quite the coup. However, that big get for the service was blunted some by the fact that people who wanted to play that expansion and all of the previous ones had to do it on Xbox consoles. Microsoft had made it clear that that the PC version of the game would be joining the service at some point last year, and last week, it finally became official.

Destiny 2is coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC on October 12, but there had been some confusion created in the announcement of the launch date. Originally, there had been some speculation that, at least at first,Beyond Lightwould be the only expansion that would be arriving with the base game. WithDestiny 2vaulting both theForsakencampaignand the Tangled Shore, some in the community believed the PC version would be pared down a bit; at least at first.
However, a tease about the arrival of the game from the official Xbox Game Pass For PC Twitter account made it clear that all of the expansions are coming when the game lands next week. The tweet was a simple one, showing a Destiny 2 guardian pulling out a chair and sitting down while tapping their foot. The caption along with the gif explained that the character was “patiently waiting” forShadowkeep,Forsaken, andBeyond Lightto come to the Game Pass library.
Of course, there is a bit of a caveat with that tweet, as it didn’t explicitlysay the expansions forDestiny 2are arriving on the exact same date as the base game. However, the tease on social media, as well as the previous assurance that all the expansions will be included at some point, seems to hint that everything is coming at once.
The good news here is thatfans of theDestinyfranchisewon’t have to wait long to confirm whether all of the existing expansions will be there the same day as the base game. Xbox Game Pass for PC will get the title at the beginning of the week, which should be an exciting day for PC players.
Destiny 2is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
