The women’s division in WWE has been able to produce plenty of stars over the decades, among those being the multi-time champion and Hall of Famer Trish Stratus who is set to join theWWE 2K23roster with a rating befitting her legacy in the promotion. She will join a roster of legends that also includes Chyna, Lita, Molly Holly, Beth Phoenix,The Bella Twins, and many others, not to mention the many current stars of WWE Stratus never got the chance to tie it up in the ring with. It opens the door for a copious amount of dream matches for players to live out in the game, but if her rating is anything to go by, Stratus isn’t going to be an easy opponent.WWE 2K23is the latest entry in theWWE 2Kseries from Visual Concepts and will see John Cena serve as the cover star to celebrate 20 years of Cena in WWE. The game’s latest Showcase mode will center on Cena’s career, allowing players to step into the boots of some of his greatest opponents to defeat the man who preaches “Never Give Up.” MyRISE, MyGM, and MyFaction return, as well, while the game marks the official return of Cody Rhodes to WWE video games since his last appearance inWWE 2K17as Stardust.RELATED:WWE 2K23 Reveals Women’s EntrancesStratus got to share the first look at her in-game model and rating on her personal website before the game’s official Twitter posted the screenshot, as well. The reveal comes roughly a week after her inclusion in the game was announced, alongside her close friend and longtime rival Lita. It was revealed Stratus' rating will be 93, making her the highest-rated woman in the game, as of this writing, whileJacy Jayne and Gigi Dolanare rated at 80 and 81, respectively.
Longtime fans of Stratus would recognize herWWE 2K23design fromWrestlemania 19, where she wrestled Victoria and Jazz in a triple-threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship. It was the second Wrestlemania Stratus was able to compete in after transitioning from being a manager to a wrestler in 2001, the first being Wrestlemania 18 where she and Lita came up short against Jazz in another triple-threat match. However, history would not repeat itself, and Stratus would leave Wrestlemania 19 as champion.
Her rating may not come as a surprise to players, either, as Stratus is one of the most celebrated women’s wrestlers in WWE history. She was a seven-time champion during her time with the company, with onlyCharlotte Flairhaving more title reigns than Stratus over her career. It does raise the question about what the ratings for some of her peers and modern contemporaries may end up being, as there will need to be challengers who can survive the Stratusfaction.
WWE 2K23is scheduled to release June 04, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
