World of Warcraftjust revealed the elusive white scale customizations for Dragonriding drakes will be finally obtainable in Patch 10.2, Guardians of the Dream. Though players have been teased by these stunning options for some time, they will finally be able to get them inWorld of Warcraftsoon.
Guardians of the Dream is the next majorcontent update coming toWorld of Warcrafton November 7. The massive patch will introduce a new zone and raid, and adds tons of activities and rewards, including many new customization options for their Dragonriding mounts.
On its official Twitter,World of Warcraftconfirmed another popular Dragonriding drake customization was finally going to be made available in the update. Players can earn white scales for the five main Dragonriding drakes by completing the Tyr questline involving the Silver Scale and the rebuilt Tyr’s Guard. These customization options will be awarded for completing this story, which is set to reachits epic conclusion inWorld of WarcraftPatch 10.2.
Though they weren’t obtainable in-game, players have known about the silver-scaled Dragonriding mount options for a while. This option has been seen in the Public Test Realm files for months, and white Dragonriding drakes can be seen inofficialWorld of Warcraftscreenshots since Patch 10.1, Embers of Neltharion. Now, several months after their first discovery, it seems these drakes are finally taking to the skies inDragonflight.
Players are thrilled to finally be able to earn theseDragonriding customizations inWorld of Warcraft. Many have dreamed of unlocking these customizations to fit their characters, and are relieved they are finally being added. The comments onWorld of Warcraft’s post were filled with relief and excitement–plus plenty of references to Blue Eyes White Dragon fromYu-Gi-Oh!, Falcor fromNeverending Story, and the Light Fury fromHow To Train Your Dragon 3.
Fans of Dragonriding inWorld of Warcraftwill have plenty of things to look forward to in Patch 10.2. In addition to options for existing mounts, they can unlock two new customizable Dragonriding drakes–the Flourishing Whimsydrake and the Grotto Netherwing Drake–as well as Anu’relos, a fiery owl who is the first non-draconic mount able to use dynamic flying. Additionally,World of Warcraftis adding new Dragonriding traitsand glyphs, including an active ability that restores Vigor while flying. With all the different options players have for their Dragonriding drakes, and evidence suggesting many other flying mounts will be able to use the system in the future,World of Warcraftfans can soon make sure they are always flying in style.
