AValheimplayer built an incredible Greydwarf prison that rivals other creations shared by the community as the game continues to be updated during early access. Many players have gotten their hands on the Viking survival gameValheimsince it made the jump to Xbox on Game Pass, and players like this regularly show off their unique builds.
Valheimwas launched on Xbox and Game Pass in 2023, but at that point, it had already gone through some early access on Steam. With PC players having access to the public test server, insiders have been able to highlight some problems with biomes, enemies, building, and more. As a new update has introduced a version of the popularcreative mode made popular withMinecraft, manyValheimplayers have returned to the game, with one making a unique Greydwarf prison in the Black Forest.

Greydwarf brutes and shamans are among the severalValheimenemiesthat spawn in the Black Forest biome which creates some intense moments in the early game as players expand from the Meadows. Reddit user Sir_vent recently shared a screenshot from theirValheimgameplay in which they have created a “maximum security” prison for the Greydwarves in the Black Forest. TheirValheimimage shows three Greydwarves that have been contained by Sir_vent using cage floors, walls, and a wooden roof that presumably can’t be broken by the captured enemies.
Two of the Greydwarves being detained by Sir_vent appear to be shamans, while the other cage is holding a brute, both of which can be problematic when moving through theValheimforest. In order to replicate Sir_vent’s impressive prison,Valheimplayers will need to forge iron so that they can make the cage wall and floor which requires that they have at least explored their way to the Swamp biome. Beyond these Greydwarves, the Black Forest also includes deer, crows, gulls, skeletons, trolls, and the powerfulValheimboss called The Elder.
Because of howValheimspawns work, these cages may accumulate quickly and become a farm for the materials that Greydwarves drop. Though these cages may help Sir_vent stay safe from someValheimBlack Forestthreats, it’s currently unclear if it reduces the number of enemies that periodically attack their base.
Valheimis available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
