An entirely new item forValheim, the Iron Cooking Station has a number of benefits of which players can take advantage. But its recipe demands trips into the dangerous Swamp Biome. For those players looking to take advantage of the Iron Cooking Station, this guide is here to help.

The recipe for this item is3 Iron and 3 Chain.First, players can gather Scrap Iron, which can primarily be found in the Sunken Crypts that dot the area. Players need to have defeated the boss The Elder in order to open these.

TheSwamp Biome is home to a number of important materials, but can be quite dangerous, especially for those without a resistance to poison. But once those materials are gathered, players can craft an Iron Cooking Stationas long as they do so in the area of a Forge.

How to Use an Iron Cooking Station

The Iron Cooking Station functions similarly to the original Cooking Station. This means that players have to place the new station over an active fire, and need to have uncooked meat to put it to use. Havinganything from Raw Meat to Serpent Meatin a player’s inventory means that just activating the Iron Cooking Station will hang up the meat and begin its cooking.

This functions as an upgrade on the original Cooking Station because it allows for up to 5 items to be cooked at a time, meaning that players can cut down on the amount of time they spend preparing food. Players need to make sure though that the entire station has a flame underneath it, otherwise it will not work.

With this new update, higher quality meats such as those harvested from Lox and Serpents require this station in order to be cooked. With that in mind, players looking to getthe best foods inValheimwill likely need to invest in the Iron Cooking Station to get the most out of the update.
