Quartz Location in The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria
First things first, Quartz has two variants inReturn to Moria, i.e., regular Quartz and True Quartz. Both are found in different locations and have different uses in the game. To get their hands on Quartz, players will have to make their way to gold ore veins. These veins are spread throughout the game world, but the best ones are in the Dwarrowdelf region in Khazad-dum. Like other gems inReturn to Moria, Quartz is also embedded in rocks. Once found, players will need to equip their pickaxe and smash rocks with it.
Gold ore veins are also found in the Lower Deeps. Lower Deeps is the second main region inReturn to Moria,so even beginners can get there in their early hours. To get there, players will need to find the Crystal Descent first. After reaching Lower Deeps, be on the lookout for large rocks containing Quartz.

Apart from these two locations, players can also occasionally find Quartzin Orkish Chests. These chests are randomly spread throughout the map. Opening them requires the Orc key, which players can obtain by destroying the totem-like thing near the chest with their pickaxe. As far as True Quartz is concerned, it is also found in Lower Deeps.
