The Legend of Zeldais a series that’s beloved by many in the gaming community for a multitude of reasons. With over a dozen games released that span across several decades, fans ofThe Legend of Zeldahave discovered many unique ways to celebrate and appreciate the series. Though, one couple has found a way to involve the franchise in a very special way.
Over the years, fans ofThe Legend of Zeldahave created numerous pieces of fan art, cosplay, and physical creations in order to showcase their love for the series. One talented fan even managed to make aZelda-themed aquarium complete with the Moon fromMajora’s Mask. However, one fan in particular managed to incorporateZeldaas part of a memorable, romantic event.

AReddituser shared a picture of how their girlfriend proposed to them through aZeldathemed ring box. With the symbol of Hyrule carved on top of the box, it is certainly a creative and memorable way to propose to someone’s significant other. The only thing that would potentially make it better is if the ring was themed afterZelda, in addition to the ring box.
The inside of the box also uses the famous shopkeeper line from theNESZelda. On the top part of the box it reads out “It’s dangerous to go alone, take me?” Not only is it an adorable way to propose to someone, but also pays homage to a franchise that’s held dear to the couple. This will definitely serve as unique and memorable proposal story for the couple to tell to others.
It’s amazing to see how creative fans can get when it comes to series that they enjoy. Although, what’s particularly impressive is how a series likeZeldathat has been around since the dawn of mainstream gaming can still manage to influence fans to the point where they incorporate itinto a wedding proposal. Then again, the popularity of games likeBreath of the Wildhave revitalized the series in a pretty big way.
There’s a lot coming up forZeldafans to get excited about. The release ofThe Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HDis coming up fairly quickly. Not to mention the brief glimpse ofBreath of the Wild 2shown at E3 2021 has many fans excited for what’s to come. With any luck, the sequel will manage to live up to the expectations that fans ofThe Legend of Zeldahave put in place for it.
