AZelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayer has shared their impressive car build, which seems to be modeled after the iconic 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. Thanks to the sandbox nature ofTears of the Kingdom, players have created all manner of driving contraptions, including an off-road buggy, a rechargeable electric car, and a Jeep Wrangler that could be ideal for a chill ride.
Some imaginativeZeldafans found the Hyrule Engineering Club, a Reddit forum that quickly became a place where they share their impressive builds and engage in creativity. They appear to never give up testing the game’s building mechanics to create all kinds of flying, driving, or floating contraptions. Reddit user a_little_toaster posted a clip of them driving a unique car they built usingLink’s Ultrahand ability. The player also shared how they did this functioning vehicle, claiming they used a metal rod, a steering stick, four small wheels, and two rubies. It seems to be modeled after a classic car, with its nostalgic design reminding some people of the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air and the Highwayman, the only drivable vehicle inFallout 2. ManyZeldafans have taken notice of this engineering marvel, saying it is one of the most realistic vehicles they’ve ever seen inTears of the Kingdom.
InTears of the Kingdom, players may be sick of hiking around the world of Hyrule, given it takes a lot of time to get from one location to another. Fortunately, the game lets players create their own vehicles to get around the world on the ground or in the air. Thanks to the Ultrahand ability, they can attach spare materials together to see their blueprint come to life. Vehicles have a variety of uses, allowing players to carry items and exploreTears of the Kingdom’s beautiful locations.
If players don’t have enough time to design new contraptions, they can useLink’s Autobuild abilityto remake any vehicle they’ve built recently. It is an extension of the Ultrahand ability, which stores a handful of favorite builds for players to make amusing vehicles. The Autobuild ability also stores pre-made schematics that don’t require any planning from players. However, creating vehicles with this ability might become quite pricey if players do not have enough required materials.
