The update is only coming to the Steam version of the game, so those on Mac and Xbox 360 will be missing out, but those on modern consoles have reason to be excited.

Besides confirming that a newBattleBlock Theaterupdate is on the way, The Behemoth also confirmed that the game is coming to “modern consoles,” presumably with all the upgrades in the Steam update in tow. Exact platforms weren’t announced, but one can assume thatBattleBlock Theaterwill be coming to Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo platforms. It’s worth pointing out that the Xbox 360 version ofBattleBlock Theateris currentlyplayable on modern Xbox consoles through the backward compatibility program, but that version of the game won’t be treated to the big new update.
BattleBlock Theateris one of the best co-op platformers out there, so it’s great to see it getting a second lease on life. And it’s not the only thing fans of The Behemoth games have to be excited about.
