Should You Walk into the Light?
Walking into the light will mark the end of the main story and start a New Game Plus playthrough. Only the player’s level and skills carry over inStarfield’s New Game Plus mode, so players should keep this in mind before making their decision. Those hoping to complete every side quest in the game or continue adding to their existing outposts may want to hold fire, especially if they have yet to test out the new weapons that they got from defeating the game’s final boss(es). It’s both possible and easy to leave the Unity and come back at a later time, so players with unfinished business will probably want to take this option in order to get their affairs in order.
What Happens After You Walk into Eternity?
If and when players do decide to walk into the light, they’ll be met with somerather stunning visuals, after which the end credits will begin to roll. Once they’re over, players will find themselves reborn as a Starborn and will be free to restart the main story or tackle an abridged version of it instead. In addition to their gear changing, they’ll also gain access to a high-tech Starborn Guardian ship, with the Roman numerals at the end of the ship’s name indicating how many times the playable character has been reborn. Each time players complete another New Game Plus run ofStarfield, this number will increase by one, making it easy for players to keep track of their progress.
