Starfieldwas first revealed at E3 2018 with a teaser trailer, announced to be Bethesda’s first original universe RPG in 25 years.Starfieldhas been described as"Skyrimin space" by Todd Howard, meaning it will feature the usual RPG features Bethesda titles are known for, such as limitless character creation and immense freedom when travelingthe game world.

With the recent announcements for the game, the Twitter of theCHAD: A Fallout 76 Storypodcast shared a piece of 3D art they made, featuring a morearcade-appropriate mock-up ofStarfieldon the screen. Eagle-eyed fans can spot the detail put into the project like the use of the satellite fromStarfield’sfirst teaser trailer, as well as the purposeful inclusion of the Bethesda Softworks logo from back in the day.

The artwork has been posted in full, but has also been edited in a video with animation on the start screen featuringa retroStarfieldlogo, complete with music. While it impressed other fans of Bethesda’s works fast, it even impressed Bethesda itself as the official Twitter responded to the post.

The mock-up is full of meticulous details to the piece, using officialStarfieldarton the lamp display of the title and side panels as if to look like the targeting system of the ship players would hypothetically pilot. The modeler even took the time to think about exactly what control scheme the game would have, settling on a joystick to pilot and buttons to fire bombs and lasers.

There’s no question that the piece was made with love, from how realistically and detailed-driven the model is. It brings fans of the game to wonder just whatStarfieldwould have been like if it came out back when arcades were more popular. Unfortunately, an arcade version ofStarfielddoesn’t exist, but as everyone awaits the title to come out during the holidays next year, artwork like the mock-up will be a good way for fans to wait out this next year.
