Summary

AStardew Valleyplayer had a weird experience with Krobus, though it may be more accurate to say that it was Krobus who had the experience. The conversation has amused fellow fans of the shadow person in theStardew Valleycommunity.

Stardew Valleyplayers can meetKrobusafter completing a set number of trade-ins at the Museum and receiving theRusty Key. He can be found in the sewers under the town, where he initially acts as a shopkeep. Players canbefriend Krobus, who is normally cautious around people, and if the relationship advances far enough, this weird moment can occur.

Stardew Valleyplayer Pesto_isbesto shared a screenshot of the game showing aconversation with Krobus. Krobus tells the player that they were chewing on him during the night and muttered about “black lish or ish” (black licorice) while doing so, and Krobus wants to know what the player meant by it. The befuddled expression on Krobus' face just tops off how random and silly the moment seems.

Krobus Scene Amuses and Confuses Fans

Other players expressed their amusement at the moment, and some wondered if this meant that the farmer sleepwalks and ends up chewing on Krobus while doing so. The only other alternative would be that Krobus lurks near enough the player’s bed to be chewed on, as he says at other times that he doesn’t actually sleep at night. Another player joked about how the farmer should wash their mouth out, given Krobus used to live in the sewers.

A handful of players were confused by the interaction. The scene can only transpire if Krobus is the farmer’s roommate, which can be achieved through a similar process toproposing to the bachelors or bachelorettes in Pelican Town. With enough friendship, a player can procure aVoid Ghost Pendantfrom the desert trader, and then invite Krobus to come live with them at their farm. The relationship works similarly to that of having a spouse on the farm. Krobus mills about the house, can be hugged, and will look after the player’s kids, if they have any.

While someStardew Valleyplayers may be well acquainted with this particular moment, it’s just one of those little details that make the game charming. Players who have never had Krobus at their home may be pleased to know that it’s not necessary to have theStardew Valley1.6 updateto do so. However, players can’t have Krobus and a spouse live with them at the same time, and removing Krobus from the house works very similarly to divorcing a spouse, impacting the relationship.
