Releasing alongside the PlayStation 5 on November 12,Marvel’s Spider-Man Remasteredwill bring the 2018 PS4 hit to the next-generation with updated visuals and loading times. It will also featurea new actor portraying Peter Parker, swapping out the original model for one who better fits Yuri Lowenthal’s voice delivery.

Although it wasn’t originally planned, it seems players will also now be able to transfer theirMarvel’s Spider-Mansaves from the PlayStation 4 to the PlayStation 5. The change was made due to feedback from fans, who claimed they’d prefer to carry progress from the original game over to their enhanced PS5 copy instead of being forced to start fresh.

Speaking about the decision on Twitter, Insomniac Games said, “We have heard you - in an upcoming update…we will add the ability to export your save toMarvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.” According to the team, the feature will be implemented around Thanksgiving alongside the newAmazing Spider-ManSuit, Arachnid Rider Suit, and the Armored Advanced Suit. Seeing as a lot of players are likely getting their copy ofSpider-Man RemasteredalongsideSpider-Man: Miles Morales,many may want to jump in where they left off when playing the original game.

As for the remaster itself, it already looks to be a huge update for the now-classic PlayStation 4 game. It will bring a number of major changes to the experience, including eliminating loading screens, using the console’s new Tempest 3D audio, utilizing theDualSense’s haptic feedback, and ray-tracing.

Although it’s going to make for a better experience, many haven’t gotten over the game’s decision toswitch out the actor portraying Peter Parker. It’s been widely contested online, with fans claiming the new character model appears too young for the older interpretation of the web-slinger.
