InSnowbreak: Containment Zone, as in your typical gacha, the game revolves around spending premium currency (earned for free through dailies and weeklies, or bought with microtransactions) to pull on characters and their guns to play as them in third-person shooter gameplay. The game (which is most frequently compared toWarframe) offers engaging hero-based gunplay with a weapon modding system, a distinct character art style, and an interesting story to immerse players in.
As is the case in most other gacha games, Snowbreak: Containment Zonefeatures a character fragment/duplicate system in which receiving duplicate characters will allow players to slightly upgrade their existing character. The most obvious way to get these character fragments (referred to as “extract” in Snowbreak)would be to pull duplicates on the gacha, whether that be the 4* units that are guaranteed in every 10-pull, or intentionally pulling on limited rate-up banners in order to progress a character’s manifestation (a system that essentially rewards duplicates with stat buffs and passives). Players can also purchase one extract for a random character per day via the in-game shop, costing only 20,000 SilverBucks (the in-game free currency), though the random nature of this and how limited it is means it will not progress characters reliably.
However, Snowbreak has a system in place that actually allows players to farm these character extracts on a daily basis entirely for free, albeit with a hard limit on how often it can be done.

How to Farm Character Manifestation Extract For Free in Snowbreak: Containment Zone
When a player unlocks a new character in Snowbreak: Containment Zone, the player also unlocks that character’s “personal file,” which is essentially a collection of stages that will give the player background lore and information on that person (as well as a chance to play as a fully built trial version of them) and more specifically the exosuit that it features (some characters have multiple exosuits of varying rarity, such as 4* Acacia - [Redacted] and the game’s first rate-up banner 5* Acacia - Kaguya).
In most cases, half of these stages are simply story and the other half are combat stages, and each stage will award a few of the character’s extracts upon first completion. The most important stage here is going to be the last one per personal file, as the last stage is what counts towards the daily limit and is also repeatable for more extracts.
Every single day, players are given 12 “memory chips,” and these memory chips are used to access the last stage of a character’s personal file. To access a 4* unit’s personal file, it will cost players two memory chips per completion. 5* units, on the other hand, will cost players 3 memory chips per completion. Once these stages are completed once, they can be auto-completed on a daily basis to grind the character extracts.
Players are limited by two factors here dependent on who they are attempting to grind extracts for: for 4* units, players are only limited by the 12 daily memory chips. 5* units, however, can only be claimed twice per day per unit, regardless of whether players have the memory chips to claim more. Therefore, players can either claim a 4* unit’s extracts six times, a 5* unit’s extracts twice along with a 4* unit’s extracts three times, or two 5* units twice each, always resulting in a grand total of 12 memory chips being used per day. Each clear of a final personal file stage will award the player with one extract for that character, except for the very first clear which awards an extra two extracts.
Players should be aware that the daily awarded memory chips will not stack! Players can only hold a total of 12, so if they are not used on a daily basis, the player will not accumulate more.
What Does Character Manifestation Do In Snowbreak: Containment Zone?
Now that players are aware of how to farm a character’s manifestation extracts, let’s go over what the actual benefits of doing so will be.
While the manifestation stats and passives are going to be different per each character, the system works in the same way: each character has five manifestation levels (called phases), with each one having nine steps to unlock. Unlocking a step will require having the number of character extracts that the game demands for that step, and unlocking the step will give the character a small increase in stats.
Once the player completes the nince steps and unlocks a full manifestation phase, the character will be awarded a whole new passive ability. Through this system, a max-manifestation character will have gained 40 small stat increases and five brand new passive abilities, making farming these manifestation phases quite a worthwhile effort to ensure a player’s character is performing at their peak ability. While this endeavor may take some time to award meaningful results, it is a very simple thing to do, and since the stages can be auto-cleared, it requires very little from the player.
