The mysterious note is a covert invitationtoThe Dark Brotherhood inSkyrim.After receiving it, players should go to sleep in a bed. They will then be kidnapped by a Dark Brotherhood assassin and can choose to join the shady organization or turn down the invitation.
Note that if players choose to reject the invitation, they will lock themselves out of all future Dark Brotherhood quests. For the most rewards, including the special horse Shadowmere, theAncient Shrouded Armor set, and the Muiri marriage opportunity, it’s highly recommended to find the mysterious note inSkyrimand join the Dark Brotherhood.
