Many games will releaseroadmapsso that their players know what to expect in the future and how long they will need to wait for these features.The First Descendanthas already revealed what players can expect for updates following theGlobal Launch, as well as the months ofAugust and December.
Each season plans on adding a sizable chunk of content, which will help keep players entertained and engaged for the duration of the game’s life cycle.
Following the Global Launch of The First Descendant
Before the first official season starts, there are some goodies coming players' way. Players will be familiar withexpanding their roster of playable characters, so they can use this experience to unlock a whole new character.
One of the first major elements being added to the game before the start of Season 1 will be a new Descendant called Luna. Luna is an NPC and quest giver in the game, which players will be able to encounter and interact with. Luna will not be the only new character, as there will also be an Ultimate variant of theexisting Descendant, Valby. Players will also be able to take on a new Colossus that goes by Gluttony and can look forward to the inclusion of a new Ultimate Weapon and Skin.
Season 1 Roadmap for The First Descendant
There will be three updates featured for the first season of the game, which will be namedSeason 1: Invasion.
The first thing to note is “Season Progression” and “Field Completion," which are expected to be ways players can engage with the game in new ways. Some descendants have their own special stories to really help build on the lore of the game, such as with theFollow Their Traces questfor Bunny. Players will also be getting another new character and an Ultimate variant, along with a new weapon and skin.
Season 2 Roadmap for The First Descendant
Just like with the first season, the second will offer three updates. The second season will be calledSeason 2: Ancestor.
As with the previous two sections of this guide, players will be getting a new weapon and skin to obtain, as well as a new Descendant and Ultimate variant. Constantly new weapons will help players not get tired of using the same weapon, which at the time isthe incredibly powerful Tamer machinegun. However, a whole new feature will come to Season 2 in the form of a Utility Companion. This could be a form of “pet” which is common for MMOs and live service games.
