A new leak reveals a huge amount of information about theResident EvilNetflix series.
A report by Splash Report said that theResident EvilNetflix series will have two main characters, Jade and Billie Wesker. The two women are half-sisters as they have different mothers but Albert Wesker is their father. Jade and Billie Wesker aren’t characters in the games and the leaker has suggested that theResident Evilseries won’t really follow the games. This should allow the creators of the TV show to do whatever they want with the series and don’t have to worry about keeping to the plot of the games. However, fans may have been looking for their favorite characters and not new ones that haven’t been in the games.

The information in the report may not be right and there has been no official confirmation of who theResident EvilNetflix serieswill be about. There also hasn’t been an official confirmation of the series as it was a Deadline report that leaked it more than a year ago. If the series hasn’t been announced then this could suggest that information like who the main characters will be and who is writing for the show also haven’t been confirmed.
If Netflix is making aResident Evilseries, then many gamers will ask it to keep to canon, the way it has withThe Witcherseries. Few fans were upset whenThe Witcherchanged Jaskier’s name in the TV show, but they may have been upset if the main character wasn’t Geralt or Ciri.Resident Evilfans enjoy the story of the games and will want to see that in the TV series.
Some popular choices for a main character would beJill Valentine, Chris Redfield, or Albert Wesker. The Wesker daughters may be an entertaining idea, but may not be what fans are looking for from a Netflix series.
