As players slowly get accustomed to this title over time, there are certainly some tips that players should keep in mind if they wish to make the most of their time in the game.
15Spamming Healing Items In Battle Is A Viable Strategy
Most people might find it cheap to break the flow of the many epic battles in this series just to heal up. However, players who want to tackle the tougher Villainous Enemies in the game should definitely keep this part of the gameplay in mind.
These tough enemies hit extremely hard, and it’s only fair to even the playing ground by healing up whenever possible. This will ensure that players can get through even the toughest encounters around without too many issues.
14Powering Through The Main Story Is The Best Way To Level Up
Players who want to level up as soon as possible can do the same with just one simple tip. All they need to do is just blast through the main story and gain the many experience points they are awarded after every major story event.
The sheer boost achieved by simply going through the main story is immense and dwarfs anything else in the game. Leveling up becomes infinitely less stressful when players have something so impactful in their arsenal, anyway.
13Don’t Forget About The Community Board
The Community Board is a unique addition toDragon Ball Z: Kakarotthat a lot of players might not take that seriously at first glance. However, it’s only after players get more and more tokens to fill up this board that its true potential can be unleashed.
Filling up the Community Boardcan take some time, but players should definitely not ignore this important part ofDragon Ball Z: Kakarot. It offers a ton of bonuses that can make everything from gaining levels to dealing damage more streamlined and easier to manage.
12Training With Whis Is A Great Way To Gain Levels
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarothas several pieces of DLC,including ones that deal with the events ofDragon Ball Super. These include training sessions with Whis that can be quite rewarding indeed.

Having the potential to one-shot most enemies in the game just by interacting with this DLC alone is pretty engaging in and of itself. Training with Whis nets many useful items on top of the loads of XP that can be obtained with the proper usage of these consumables and the like.
11There’s No Shame In Running Away From Encounters
Sometimes, players may get stuck in battles they have no intention of fighting. These include everything from low-level foes to the various Villainous Enemies that play a major role in the story.
Instead of having to fight each and every encounter, sometimes it’s in the best interest of players to just run away without putting themselves under too much pressure. There’s no pride lost here, and all players need to do is dash back and get out of an enemy’s reach.
10Take The Time To Find D Medals
It perhaps goes without saying, but quite a few people who play this game will focus exclusively on the story. There’s no shame in it, but it’s worth keeping in mind that this is a very quick way of not having the De Medals necessary to train and unlock new Super Attacks down the road.
D Medals can be gained by completing challenges within the Z-Encyclopedia (remember to actually open the encyclopedia to claim them) or by finding them on the overworld. Even if all players want to do is rush through the story, take the time to explore and find some D Medals. It’ll save players some heartbreak in the long run.
9The Benefits Of Cooking
Cooking is a rather fun mechanic that’svery easy to overlook and ignore altogether. AsDragon Ball Z: Kakarotisn’t a challenging game, one might never feel the need to cook. Those that choose to do so, however, will reap the rewards over and over again. Not only do meals offer temporary buffs, but they also offer permanent stat boosts.
Each meal has two description boxes showcasing the bonuses players will get. The upper features the temporary bonuses, whereas the lower box features the permanent stat boosts. Better yet, these upgrades apply to every single character in the party, not just the character who eats the meal.
8Train & Upgrade ASAP
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s combat doesn’t have much in the way of depth or mechanical variety, but it’s a lot of fun to play with it on the surface level. There are a bunch of different Super Attacks to play around with, and each one generally has its own unique feature, ensuring that players have some level of variety with how they approach combat.

At the same time, having access to this variety requires diligent upgrading. ensure to have Z-Orbs and D Medals at the ready to knock out notches on a character’s Skill Tree. It’s important not to forget about Know-Hows, either,Kakarot’s passive abilities.
7Crash Through Enemies
Thanks to long load times,Dragon Ball Z: Kakarotcan be a drag at times. There comes a point where players just want to make progress between the loading screens, and something as simple as a random encounter with an enemy is enough to sour the mood. Thankfully, there’s a way to get around fighting altogether.
At a high enough level, players can dash through enemies on screen. This will cancel out the fight entirely while still rewarding players with experience and Z-Orbs. It’s one of the best ways to grind in the game, if not outright the best. Unfortunately, leveling comes with a price…
6Want A Challenge? Avoid Random Encounters
The greatest flaw plaguingDragon Ball Z: Kakarot(other than load times) is the complete and utter lack of challenge most of the time. This is a game that’s perfectly content, allowing players to barrel through it. The few truly challenging fights there are can be easily circumvented byplayers over-leveling through random encounters and side quests.
Anyone looking for a challenge might want to call it quits on fighting enemies on the overworld and doing side quests altogether. Maybe save those for Intermissions (more on those in a bit,) but even then, players run the risk of grinding too much and trivializing a game that was already going to be easy.
