TiMi Studios has announced that thePokemon Unitethird anniversary event will now start on July 09, 2025, two days earlier than its original July 21 date. This adjustment allowsPokemon Uniteplayers to access the upcoming celebratory events sooner, including the new legendary Pokemon that was previously unveiled.
Pokemon Uniteis a MOBA game developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by The Pokemon Company for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices. The game features teams of five players who compete to score points by defeating wild Pokemon and opposing team members, then depositing collected energy into the enemy’s goal zones. Players start each match at level one and level up by earning experience points, unlocking new abilities, and evolving theirPokemon Unitecharactersas the game progresses. The game has been downloaded over 80 million times and won several awards, including Google Play’s Best Game of 2021 and Mobile Game of the Year at the 25th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards.
According to the developer, starting on June 22, 2025, players can look forward to a variety of events, deals, and more during this anniversary period. In June,Pokemon Uniterevealed that the legendary bird Ho-Oh will be joiningthe current roster of 64 different Pokemon species during the third anniversary event. This is the only confirmed feature so far; however, the developers reassure players that more information about the event will be released soon.
Pokemon Unite Third Anniversary Event New Starting Date
InpreviousPokrmon Uniteanniversary events, the game introduced new Unite licenses and Holowear log-in bonuses, an Anniversary Cake Challenge, and the Boss Rush mode where players teamed up to defeat powerful Boss Pokemon. Additionally, Pokemon Boost Emblems and the Icy Glaceon Challenge were launched, along with Battle Pass Season 9. Mega Mewtwo X was also added in past events, along with special missions, daily and weekly challenges, and additional bonuses for players. While official details about this year’s event remain under wraps, players can anticipate similar features based on past anniversaries.
In addition to this event, players can also look forward to the2024PokemonWorld Championships, scheduled from August 16 to August 18 at the Hawai‘i Convention Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. This annual event will feature top players from around the globe competing inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, thePokemon Trading Card Game,Pokemon GO, andPokemon Unite. Alongside the main competitions, attendees can enjoy various activities such as merchandise shopping at thePokemonCenter, battle labs, and side events like Magikarp fishing.
