Pokemon GOis in the midst of one of its biggest events to date, the Throwback Challenge 2020. As part of the Throwback Challenge 2020, Niantic is changing the wild spawns, raid bosses, and 7km egg hatch pools for the game on a weekly basis. Last week, the spotlight was onKanto region Pokemon, but this week, it’s the Johto region Pokemon’s time to shine.

As part of the Throwback Challenge 2020: Johto event, Niantic has added nine Johto region Pokemon to 7km eggs. For anyPokemon GOplayers that may be out of practice, 7km eggs special yellow eggs that players can only get by opening gifts from friends. They take up an egg slot like regular eggs do, and as their name implies, typically take 7km of walking distance to hatch. However, players will find that eggs are hatching a little quicker than usual thanks to the changes Niantic has made toPokemon GOfor the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, so it shouldn’t take quite that long to hatch them.
