Niantic has released a holiday-themed ad forPokemon GOthat reveals more Poke Balls are coming to PokeStops. The ad featuresPokemonsemi-trucks loaded with Poke Balls delivering to PokeStops all over the world with upbeat holiday music playing in the background. The official date of the update is not revealed, but the ad says that more Poke Balls will be inPokeStopsthis holiday, which likely means the update will hit in late December.
With so many changes happening inPokemon GO, this seems like the perfect time for developers to make sure trainers around the world are prepared to catch new Pokemon, take on the Battle League, and participate in raids. Some fans have experienced a shortage of Poke Balls due to the random drops at PokeStops, but an update or event adding more Poke Balls may fix that.

With more Poke Balls becoming available from PokeStop drops, trainers will be able to catch the new Pokemon recently added to the mobile game.Kalos Region Pokemon have been addedtoPokemon GOin the wild and in raids, with the first raid Pokemon being the Psychic-type Espurr. The video also teases Kalos' Legendary Pokemon: Xerneus, Yveltal, and Zygarde.
Pokemon GO: Season of Celebrationhas also started, which adds new mega raids, changes the Pokemon Egg pool, and will introduce a double Community Day this month. The Season of Celebration will last until March 2021, and will affect the spawn rate of Pokemon based on what hemisphere trainers are in. Along with the Season of Celebration, Season 6 of the Battle League is underway with a number of changes.
Season 6 Battle Leaguewill look a little different than previous seasons, featuring 24 different tiers instead of the usual 10, and will have a new reward system to reflect the changes. Season 6 will cater to trainers of all different skill levels, as the difficulty of Battle League was one of the main complaints heading into it.
With many Kalos Region Pokemon added and numerous events planned, trainers have plenty to do inPokemon GOheading into 2021. Themax Pokemon storage has also been increased, so with the added Poke Balls at PokeStops, trainers should be able to catch and collect plenty of Pokemon. Lockdowns and stay-at-home orders are still in effect in many regions, butPokemon GOhas reinvented gameplay to allow trainers to catch and battle from home. Next year is slated to be full ofPokemon GOcontent, and the many changes recently seem to be pushing the mobile title in the right direction.
