Eevee has been one of the most popular creatures in thePokemonuniverse since the earliest days of the franchise, and one player has designed a whole new form for the Evolution Pokemon based around the Dragon type. Eevee’s diverse evolutionary potential and inherently adorable design have long provided the groundwork for inspiredPokemonfans to create many of their own evolved forms for the Pokemon, or even redesigns of existing ones.

Though it was first introduced to the world ofPokemonwith the very first games in the series,Pokemon Red and Green, Eevee only had 3 evolutionary forms at the time. This is still more than what mostPokemonare capable of, but even so, the fluffy Normal-type went on to receive 5 additional evolutions - or “Eeveelutions,” as they’re often referred to in this case. The Generation 2Pokemontitles saw Eevee capable of evolving into the Psychic-type Espeon and Dark-type Umbreon, and the later Generation 4 games gave it the ability to evolve into the Grass-type Leafeon and Ice-type Glaceon. The last official form for Eevee arrived as theFairy-type Sylveon withPokemon X and Y, and while there have been several new core-series releases since then, there have been no new Eeveelutions for fans to collect.

Since there are still plenty of types that haven’t yet been utilized by Eevee or its evolved forms, fans have taken it upon themselves tobring these potential new Pokemon to lifevia artwork. One fan, named shunixe on Reddit or Xezeno elsewhere, recently shared one of their own works on the site featuring their idea of what a Dragon-type Eeveelution would look like. This adorable design would no doubt make it onto many players' teams if it were an official Pokemon, with features such as the wings and ears calling to mind other favored Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Noivern.

While Eevee hasn’t received a new form for quite a while now, thePokemon hasn’t become any less of a mascotfor the franchise as a whole. In fact, Eevee itself received some love for its original form with the release of thePokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!andLet’s Go, Eevee!games, which allowed players to once again journey across the Kanto region with a special partner Pikachu or Eevee at their side.

There remains a variety of forms that have yet to be officially implemented into Eeveelutions, with many fans particularly hoping to see a Steel-type, Ghost-type, or official Dragon-type form in future titles. Many fans have been left wonderingwhy the Pokemon hasn’t received any new evolutionsin recent games, and while there are a number of theories that could explain their absence, there’s little that can be done byPokemonplayers outside hoping for more Eevee content in the inevitable plethora of future games.
