Moba games are fun to play, but also challenging because they canbe rather unforgivingto players and their teams. If anything terrible happens, a chain reaction can start causing the entire team to lose footing. This is evident in games likeLeague Of Legends, which focuses on team play. However, inLeague Of Legends, some champions can fight on their own, but that doesn’t mean they should, because even if the champion can fight in a dynamic way, they can get overrun. From its storyto its gameplay,League Of Legendshas become an icon in gaming. This element of teamwork has allowed the game to prosper because when the team works together, they can sync up their attacks and fight more aggressively.

Thanks to this play style, many other games have come up and have made the teamwork style ofLeague Of Legendsa lot more mainstream. The latest addition to this genre, calledParagon: The Overprime, uses the same mechanics ofLeague Of Legendsbut makes it easier. However, just likein League Of Legends, each character is built for a specific lane in the match, mid-laners are rather important. They focus on damage and also help control the fight and keep things in favor of the team. While not all mid-laners are the same, this list will help players figure out which one suits their play style.

5The Fey

She is an interesting character inParagon: The Overprime, because The Fey is somewhat of a glass cannon, she can control the space of the midlane all while having high damage output. She has a high-risk-high-reward play style because once The Fey hits a target with her Harvest Nettles, she can do devastating damage. She is an easy hero to learn, however, her downside is that she can be easy to take down as well, for some heroes.

Much like thelesser-picked championsinLeague Of Legendswho can surprise players when they get the rhythm of the game, The Fey can certainly have a massive impact, provided she’s with other heroes. Plus, most of The Fey’s attacks are built to slow down enemies, and to combo with other midlaner attacks. When this happens, she can become important for the team, because while not as strong as other midlaners inParagon: The Overprime, she can still hold her own.

4Phase

Phase is probably one of the more interesting midlane characters inParagon: The Overprimebecause while she has good attack abilities, she’s not just built to do that. Phase is a pretty dynamic hero for what she can do, but has a steep learning curve, so when players master Phase’s abilities, she can be important to the team and their efforts. Phase’s abilities revolve around keeping the team alive, by giving them health from the enemy, which renders many enemy heroes weaker.

Phase’s strengths are highlighted when she’s with other heroes, and that’s whenParagon: The Overprimebecomes a fun game to play. She allows her team to get aggressive with taking down the enemy team’s core, among other things. Phase can also keep a teammate safe, by giving them consistent healing via the Telekinetic link which not only heals but pulls players closer to her.

3Gideon

Gideon shares some of the qualities of many champions inLeague of Legendswhere they have somegreat basic abilities. His Cosmic Rift is a game changer, and the fact that it’s a basic ability means players should be using this attack a lot. It creates a portal that drops a massive rock on the enemies and the enemy minions, which does great AOE damage, and if players are with another hero while this attack is happening, they can wipe the enemy advance in seconds.

Torn Space is great for Gideon and a teammate to reposition because they jump into the portal all while shooting at the enemy and being safe. The reason why Gideon is rather high on the list is that while he’s easier to use, he’s also easier to take down. Having a bigger character model than The Fey, allows enemy players to quickly down him. However, just like The Fey, he can control the early game by slowing down his enemies, so he’s a great asset. But, if players are good with Gideon, he can be fine alone, otherwise, he’s best paired with at least one stronger character.

2Gadget

This hero is probably one of the more versatile midlane heroes inParagon: The Overpime.Gadget is great for many reasons, she can run alone because most of her attacks allow her to be self-reliant, plus likemany starter championsinLeague Of Legends, she’s great for beginners. In the early game, players can use her mines to keep enemy heroes at bay effectively, then as the match progresses, and after players have bought more of her abilities like Speed Gate which helps minions and other friendly heroes gain speed, she can help push.

For all stages of the match, players will see Gadget doing quite a bit, and making it easy for them, especially with her Seek and Destroy ability, which gives her and the team an extra gun. However, if players want to see the best of what Gadget has to offer, they shouldcombo their attackswith others. While she’s a great midlane hero inParagon: The Overprime, her attacks use quite a bit of mana, so players should also buy more when they can.

1Howitzer

Howitzer is a good hero to learn at the start, whileParagon: The Overprimesays he’s a harder character to learn, he’s surprisingly easy to adapt to, unlike other heroes in the game. Most of his attacks are based on AOE damage, so when Howitzer is attacking he’s doing a large amount of damage to a space, which gives players breathing room. He can be considered a more tank-like character, but due to his size, he can also be taken down easily. Just like inOverwatch 2,which has some high-damage ultimates, Howitzer has that same quality as well, and it’s reminiscent ofPharra’s Rocket Barrage, where he flies in the air and carpet bombs the area under him, causing massive AOE damage.

This attack can be paired with Gadget’s Tesla Dome, which slows done enemies, when this happens, the team can get a team wipe if they fight hard enough. However, his other abilities can make him rather overpowered just like somevery strong heroesonOverwatch 2,his land mines do massive AOE damage which can be chained. His Slow Grenade slows down the enemies and minions allowing the Howitzer and other midlane heroes to control that area.
