Stats inPalworldcan be a bit confusing at first, especially given that each Stat Point allocated to one affects it by a different amount. Health increases by 100 per point, Attack increases by a measly 2, and Weight increases by about 50 pounds per point. Given thatPalworldis just about as much (if not more) of a survival game than it is a creature collector, Stat Allocation really matters in. Thankfully, players have discovered a way to respec with the Memory Wiping Machine late into the game, but that’s not available until about level 43, you’ll want to be absolutely sure before you spend any Stat Points.
With that in mind, let’s go over what exactly each stat affectsin the absurd success that isPalworld, as the tooltips describing each stat in-game aren’t the most ‘helpful’ when it comes to breaking down each and everything that said stat impacts.
Stat Overview
Everything The Game Tells You Flat Out
First, let’s briefly go over what the in-game description for each stat does inPalworld:
Player Vitality. You collapse from fatigue if this reaches 0.
Stamina
Player Stamina. Decreases while running or climbing. You are unable to run when this reaches 0
Player Defense. Damage taken decreases as defense increases.
Work Speed
Player Work Speed. Affects the efficiency of working on various tasks at base.
Weight
Player Max Carrying Capacity. Movement will become slow if over the limit.
To put it even more simply,HP is your health, Stamina is your energy, Attack is your player damage, Defense is your player defense, Work Speed is the speed at which you complete tasks, and Weight is your maximum capacity. These descriptions, while short, are pretty succinct, but how accurate are they? There are some things that these descriptions leave out, and if you knew of this hidden information beforehand, yourPalworldbuild would’ve likely been different.
Stat In-Depth Explanation
Stat Information You Might Not Know
Now, let’s take a deeper look at every stat inPalworldand go over what actions each one affects, any missing info the in-game description left out, and other system mechanics that tie into these stats.
Max HP
Pretty basic, not much extra info here. HP = Max Health.
Running, Jumping, Swinging a Tool, & Climbing
Stamina affects a lot of different actions and can actually ‘technically’ improve Work Speed since it increases how long you can swing a Pickaxe for at once. If you’re out of Stamina you can’t run, jump, or attack.
Damage Output
Player Attack. Damage dealt increases as attack power increases.
Just a general increase in your outgoing damage. This includes damage from melee attacks, from ranged weapons, & even damage to objects such as when you’re mining or cutting down trees. Also has more of an effect the higher level you get since the percentage increase goes off your total attack and passive skills.
Damage Resistance
This stat cannot be increased with Stat Points. Only influenced by your Armor, Passives, & Partner Skills. A general decrease in the amount of damage you take.
Handiwork, Planting, Medicine Production, Watering, & Gathering Speed
Player Work Speed. It affects the efficiency of working on various tasks at base.
Reduces the amount of time it takes to complete any of the task ‘bars’ when at base. However, remember that Pals can easily exceed 100 Work Speed with their Passives and are meant to complete tasks at the base while you’re out doing other things.
Max Carrying Capacity
Like HP, a pretty cut-and-dry stat with not much extra info. A lot ofPals have Partner Skillsthat increase Weight while in your party, andyou can also use the Grappling Gunto move around when over-encumbered.
And, as a final note, when you allocate a Stat Point, which is different from points put intoPals at the Statue of Power, the amount that this stat point increases said stat is different.HP increases by 100, Stamina by 10, Attack by 2, Defense can’t be increased with Stat Points, Work Speed is 50, and Weight is 50.
