Responding to a fan who is upset with the 30 percent carryover in ultimate charge when switching heroes, Neuss explained excitedly that an update to the mechanic will be coming with Season 3. While nothing was specified, Neuss mentioned that details will be shared ahead ofOverwatch 2’sSeason 3 release, possibly before the patch notes are dropped. Neuss went on to acknowledge that theOverwatch 2team needs to do a better job at communicating with the player base over concerns surrounding the game.

While Season 3 ofOverwatch 2has not had its official release date announced, current speculation places its debut on February 7. It will be the first season sinceOverwatch 2’s launch to not include a new hero. There has been a new map confirmed, as well as another infusion of cosmetics into the in-game shop as well as a new battle pass.
