Summary
Haki is an essential powerthat exists in theOne Pieceworld and it grants great benefits to all those looking to survive the high seas. This is a spiritual ability, two types of which exist within everyone. These two types are Armament Haki and Observation Haki. The former allows the user to manifest their spirit and use it to coat their bodies, boosting both their offensive and defensive capabilities. At the same time, Observation Haki grants a sixth sense to the user, which then lets them sense other living beings, measure power levels, see attacks in their mind’s eye, and, overall, boost their awareness to sky-high levels.
A third type of Haki, called Conqueror’s Haki allows the user to impose their willpower on others. This type of Haki, however, cannot be tapped into by anyone. It is a power that a user is either born with or without. For any fighter in theOne Pieceworld, surviving the seas of the New World requires them to be equipped with Haki. Surprisingly, there are quite a lot of characters that are in desperate need of this skill but still don’t have it.
7Bartolomeo
The captain of the second shipof the Straw Hat Grant Fleet, Bartolomeo is an incredibly powerful character who has survived the seas of the New World very well so far.
He primarily relies on the power of Bari Bari no Mi, however, if he is to get stronger and live up to the reputation of the Straw Hat Crew, he absolutely needs Haki. Using this skill would allow him to fight stronger Devil Fruit users and, most importantly, bolster his own Devil Fruit attacks.
6Chopper
Chopper is the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates and while he’s not primarily a fighter, he is called into action every now and then. In Wano, Chopper did not get a major fight, however, he did clash with Queen momentarily.
If he possessed Haki, he would then have been able to hold his ground better. While he mostly relies on his Devil Fruit while fighting, it is absolutely necessary for him to wield the power of Haki. It must be remembered that he is a part of a Yonko crew right now and being a commander of a Yonko crew without having Haki is not acceptable.
5Franky
Just like Chopper, Franky is another member of the Straw Hat Pirates who does not have Haki at all. He relies on his scientific technology while fighting. Given that he is a cyborg,Franky has equipped his body with several powerful weapons.
However, against strong Devil Fruit users, especially the Logia types, his powers would be absolutely useless. Franky is a commander of a Yonko crew who recently fought against one of Tobiroppo. To rise even further, he definitely needs to awaken Haki.
4Momonosuke
The current Shogun of Wano, Momonosuke is an extremely capable figure and a powerful fighter. Although he’s just 8 years old, he has the build of a 28-year-old and, on top of that, a very overpowered Devil Fruit that lets him turn into an eastern dragon.
While Momo is extremely capable, he needs to strengthen his skill even further. At his age, Oden was able to wield both Ame no Habakiri and Enma perfectly. This means Oden already had great control over Ryuo at this age. If Momonosuke wants to surpass his father as he claimed, then he certainly has to awaken Haki.
3Nami
The navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates,Nami is an extremely skilled fighter.Although she is not among the strongest fighters in the crew, she isn’t weak by any means. After receiving Zeus, she can now hold her own against the vast majority of enemies.
That said, Nami is still weak in some regards, and much of that can be pinpointed down to the fact that she does not have Haki. Nami has incredible perceptive powers and by all means, she should, at the very least, have access to Observation Haki. In the Final Saga, fans hope that she gets access to at least one form of Haki.
2Crocodile
Crocodile is an elite pirate who once led a crime syndicate of the Baroque Works. He is an extremely powerful fighter who utilizes the power of the Logia-type Suna Suna no Mi in combat.
Crocodile is extremely powerful, however, the fact that he has survived the seas of the New World and fought against legendary pirates without even utilizing Haki is absolutely bizarre. By all means, a pirate of his stature should have access to two, if not all three types of Haki. Fans should absolutely expect him to be capable of utilizing Haki the next time he shows up in the series.
1Nico Robin
The archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates,Nico Robin is one of the most underrated fightersin the entirety ofOne Piece. She is quite a meathead herself and her recent exploits in Wano are certainly to show for it.
She has acquired an incredibly high bounty of 930 million berries. Any pirate closing in on a billion berries should have Haki. Robin deserves at least two times of Haki and, using them, she would then take her skill even further and be strong enough to fight against the commanders of Yonko crews.
