The Yonko are considered to be the strongest pirate captains in the world, and as a result, they rule large swaths of territory. This group has changed significantly over the course of the series, but it has always consisted of four individuals.One Pieceis known for its elaborate character designs, and each Yonko has their own distinct look.
7Buggy The Clown
Buggy may have been part of the legendary Roger Pirates, but he is incredibly weak. He is also quite cowardly, which is comical because he is very egotistical and prideful. Buggy became a Yonko after the Wano Arc thanks to the formation ofCross Guild, which includes Crocodile and Dracule Mihawk. He was accidentally named the group’s leader, which is how he earned Yonko status.
Buggy is a slim individual with blue hair, and the big red nose on his face is his real nose. His hair is much longer and spikier now, and he wears a big red and white, stripped tricorn. Thanks to his Devil Fruit, which allows him to split his body, the tricorn makes him appear far larger. At the end of the day though, Buggy just looks like a shabby clown.
6Whitebeard
For years, Edward Newgate was considered the strongest man in the world. He may have been in his 70s, but his Haki was still overwhelming, and he had a Devil Fruit that has the power to destroy the world, which explains whyBlackbeard wanted to steal it.

He earned the name “Whitebeard” because of his prominent white, crescent-shaped mustache, and he wore a black bandana. He was an abnormally large man, but he was well-proportioned thanks to his muscular build and long face. He had many scars on his chest, and he wore a white captain’s coat that hung from his shoulders.
5Monkey D. Luffy
As the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates,Luffy has the crew’s highest bounty, and he officially became a Yonko after defeating Kaido in Wano. Since the beginning, Luffy has had a slim muscular build, and he has maintained the same shaggy black hair.
Luffy’s most iconic feature is his straw hat, but he now has a large x-shaped scar on his chest that he received from Akainu at Marineford. He also has a small scar with stitches under his left eye. For the most part, Luffy’s attire has remained the same, but he now wears an open, long-sleeved red cardigan with a yellow sash tied around his waist.
4Blackbeard
Blackbeard became a Yonko after the Summit War, which was not surprising since he killed Whitebeard, stole his Devil Fruit, and already hadthe power of the Dark-Dark Fruit. He may look like a slob, but of all the Yonko, he looks like a real pirate.

He is a very tall man with dark skin. His body is very round, but his limbs are fairly thin, and he has a prominent-lipped mouth. Whenever he laughs or speaks, it is clear that he has several chipped and missing teeth. He is a very hairy man, and after the timeskip he grew a much longer and scruffier black beard. He also wears a light purple shirt with a black captain’s coat and dark blue pants with light blue floral designs.
3Big Mom
Big Mom has been a pirate since she was a child, and she was the only female Yonko. She could use every type of Haki, andshe could manipulate souls with her Devil Fruit. When she was younger, Big Mom was tall and skinny, but when the Straw Hats meet her, she is an obese old woman with a barely visible chin.
She is nearly 29 feet tall, and she primarily wears a purple and pink vertical striped dress. She also wears a large pink bicorne hat, which has her Jolly Roger on the front. Her curly pink hair runs halfway down her back, her eyelashes are prominent, and she wears thick purple eyeshadow. Her mouth is massive, and she often sticks her thick tongue out.
2Shanks
Shanks inspired Luffy to become a pirate, and he is now the longest-reigning Yonko inOne Piece.Unlike the other original Yonko, Shanks is a normal-sized human. He may have lost his left arm while saving Luffy, but he is still a master swordsman with insanelypowerful Conqueror’s Haki.

What distinguishes Shanks from everyone else is his deep crimson hair, which he pairs with a neatly thin beard and mustache stubble. His secondary trademark is a triple set of parallel, linear scars over his left eye. He wears a white half-buttoned shirt that shows his abs, and a black coat. There is a mystique about Shanks that makes him so popular and intimidating.
1Kaido
Kaido is over 23 feet tall, and thanks to hisMythical Zoan Devil Fruit, he can transform into a colossal azure dragon. He is considered the be the world’s strongest creature, which is fitting since he looks more like a monster than a human.
His muscles are huge and very thick, to the point that his arms are bigger than most people, but his legs are disproportionate to the rest of his body. His hair is a wild mane, and he sports a waist-length Fu Manchu mustache and spiked goatee. He even has a large pair of sharp-pointed horns on the side of his head.
