Summary

Battle shonen series likeOne Pieceare rife with impressive displays of strength, and conflicts that can shake the Earth itself. From famed individuals such as Whitebeard, Monkey D. Garp, and the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, to the Worst Generation, there is no shortage of individuals who pack a serious punch, andeven the series' protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, is now emerging as one of them.

While most of the offensive abilities used by characters of this caliber could wipe out the majority of their opponents with ease, there are some adversaries who are an exception to this. On this note, here are some of the strongest attacks inOne Piecewhich never end fights, either dueto the context in which they are used, or the nature of the technique channeled to execute them.

One Piece Admiral Kizaru Yasakani No Magatama Pika Pika No Mi

One Piece Chapter #553 “Summit Battle”

Anime Debut

One Piece Episode #463 “Burn Everything to Ash! Admiral Akainu’s Power”

Named for one of Japan’s Three Sacred Treasures — like most of Kizaru’s attacks — Yasakani no Magatama unleashes a barrage of highly energized light particles that lay waste to everything they make contact with. To execute it, Kizaru crosses his arms, leaps into the air, and uses his Pika Pika no Mi abilities to fire innumerable small bullets of light.

One Piece Trafalgar Law Gamma Knife Ope Ope no Mi Donquixote Doflamingo

While his initial use of the technique inOne Piece’sSummit War of Marineford was blocked by Marco of the Whitebeard Pirates,Kizaru later demonstrated another versionwhich could manifest light clones to fight alongside him. He can also control the area over which the light particles are dispersed, making it a versatile attack when facing large numbers of enemies.

One Piece Chapter #781 “Long-Cherished Desire”

One Piece Episode #722 “A Blade of Tenacity - The Gamma Knife Counterattack!”

Law’s strongest non-Awakened technique inOne Piecewas first used to deliver a devastatingblow to the Warlord Donquixote Doflamingo, who might not have survived without his Devil Fruit’s ability to administer emergency first aid. Applying Law’s potent Ope Ope no Mi powers in a surgical strike, Gamma Knife targets an enemy’s internal organs.

One Piece Roronoa Zoro 1080 Pound Phoenix Three Sword Style

The Heart Pirates' Captain begins the attack by creating an energy blade which is used to stab his adversary, damaging their innards while bypassing the outer layers of their body. Further down the line, Law used this to pierce through Kaido’s hardened skin in his Azure Dragon form, which allowed him to inflict a serious injury to the Emperor of the Sea.

One Piece Chapter #754 “Pleased to Make Your Acquaintance”

One Piece Episode #692 “A Hard-Fought Battle Against Pica - Zoro’s Deadly Attack!”

Improving on the 108 Pound Phoenixthat Zoro used prior to the time skip, this technique is supposedly ten times more powerful as per the naming convention followed for this subcategory of Three Sword Style attacks inOne Piece. Even though the attack itself appears to be quite similar to its predecessor, where Zoro performs a circular swing with all three swords, the effect is radically different.

One Piece Luffy Gear 4 Rhino Schneider

First used against Pica of the Donquixote Pirates, this technique was powerful enough to slice the massive form he had taken on after merging with a huge amount of Dressrosa’s stonework to create a giant body for himself. Zoro’s use of the attack effectively sliced the stone giant in half with a single attack, which is an incredible feat that left everyone around him completely awestruck.

One Piece Episode #726 “Gear 4! The Phenomenal Boundman!”

Easily amongLuffy’s most powerful Gear 4 Boundman attacks, Gomu Gomu no Rhino Schneider harnesses this form’s application of compression and Armament Haki to execute a flying dropkick. When used in conjunction with the immense speed boost provided by Gear 4, Luffy was able to catch Doflamingo by surprise and send the Warlord flying through buildings.

Not too long after, Luffy honed his advanced Armament Haki in the mines of Udon in Wano Country, and was able to enhance the destructive power of this attack to an even greater level. When used against Kaido during the battle on the rooftop of Onigashima, Luffy was able to injure the Emperor of the Sea, demonstrating how his efforts had borne fruit.

whitebeard using his devil fruit during One Piece’s Summit War

One Piece Episode #462 “The Power to Destroy the World! The Gura Gura no Mi’s Ability”

Perhaps the most fearsome attack of them all, this technique is a demonstration of the earth-shattering power of theGura Gura no Mi, as used by Whitebeard. In Marineford, Whitebeard first used this to defend Admiral Aokiji’s Ice Spears. Essentially, this technique sees the user punch the surrounding air to send shock waves that decimate everything they pass through.

Initially, Whitebeard’s use of this attack created massive earthquakes followed by gigantic tsunamis which threatened to engulf all of Marineford, and it took the intervention of three Marine Admirals to halt the advance of the tremors. After stealing the Gura Gura no Mi, Blackbeard has also displayed a capacity to use this technique, although his version may not stand up too well against Whitebeard’s own.
