Nevertheless, a new installment in the franchise calledDelta Force: Hawk Opsis currently in the works atTiMi Studio Group, who presumably licensed the long-dormant FPS brand from THQ Nordic. The Chinese mobile gaming giant unveiled its latest title with an August 18 teaser trailer depicting hectic action across a variety of locations. The 30-second video is meant to serve as a precursor to the game’s full-fledged announcement, which is scheduled to happen at the 2023 Gamescom on Tuesday, August 22.

In the meantime, TiMi Studio Group confirmed thatDelta Force: Hawk Opswill be a multi-platform title for both PC and consoles, as well as mobile devices. The game is meant to debut as a free-to-play experience, as is the case with most other contemporary titles from theCall of Duty Mobiledeveloper. And though that business model will inherently makeDelta Force: Hawk Opsfocused on multiplayer, the upcoming FPS will also feature a campaign mode inspired by the2001 Hollywood blockbusterBlack Hawk Down.

Hawk Opswill hence be the second-everDelta Forcegame to take inspiration from Ridley Scott’s iconic war film, arriving more than two decades afterDelta Force: Black Hawk Down. Despite that similarity, there is currently no indication that the upcoming FPS will be a remake of NovaLogic’s 2003 game.
