One of the biggest streamers of all time may be headed to YouTube.Ninja, who once signed a massive contract with Mixer, may have found his new streaming home.
Late last month, it was announced that the Microsoft owned streaming service,Mixer, would be shutting down. Along with the thousands of smaller streamers shocked by the move, the shutdown left big-name gamers like Ninja and Shroud without a platform. Many have wondered where Ninja would go next, but a test stream onYouTubemay have given away the secret.

AFortnitenews and leaker source named HYPEX on Twitter noticed that Tyler “Ninja” Blevins had a stream running on YouTube named “Test.” HYPEX is paying close attention, as Ninja gained much of his fame through Epic’s battle royale, and he continues to play and havestrong opinions onFortnite. It’s entirely possible that Ninja meant to mark this as private, and that he is working behind the scenes to get his stream up and running on YouTube, which would be his third streaming location in the past year.
The shutdown of Mixer has been unfortunate for many, andNinja and his wife have supported Mixer streamersas the service closes down. While Ninja cultivated a community on the Microsoft streaming platform, many anticipated that Ninja would return to Twitch, the place that he sky-rocketed to fame. However, thanks to this test stream on YouTube, it may be that he is headed to a different platform.
With Mixer closing down, Microsoft and Facebook partnered up to allow Mixer Partners to move over to Facebook Gaming and retain their status. However, whileMixer was integrated into the Xbox One, it looks like Facebook Gaming will not. The option to move over to Facebook is welcoming to a community that was left shocked, but Ninja and other big-name streamers are fortunate enough to have other options as well.
While YouTube has always been a popular site for videos and content, Twitch is by far the first place people think of when it comes to video game streaming. Additionally, even with popular personalities such as PewDiePie in a contract with YouTube,Mixer had more streamers than both YouTube and Facebook Gamingcombined at one point. Ninja has already proven that he is happy to join any team, regardless of whether it is not the most popular or successful of the options. It is very possible that YouTube and Ninja have struck a deal, and that fans will learn about this soon.
