AnOverwatch 2player and Reddit user, twetwetwe, shared a video clip ofWidowmaker’s skin introduced in season 7, Ghostly Bride, which looks to take inspiration from Tim Burton’sCorspe Bride, as well as her complimentary highlight intro, Decay. If players look closely enough they will notice that the backdrop of Widowmaker’s highlight intro, Decay, is broken. The background image does not fill the entire screen, which leaves the standard Battle Pass background exposed.
One user jokingly commented that Widowmaker is getting her photos taken at the well-known department store Sears since the background looks like a backdrop for a photo shoot, and Widowmaker is posing with a bouquet in her hands. However, some users also decided to use this mistake as a way to point at other issues with the game, commenting on the quality ofOverwatch 2and how they feel Activision Blizzard is not putting enough effort into the title, especially for an AAA video game company.Microsoft recently acquired Blizzard, so many are hoping that this change will be a positive influence onOverwatch 2.
TheOverwatch 2community is often divided over issues that arise with the game, whether it is because of bugs that should be easy to overcome for an AAA video game company or controversial monetization choices, butOverwatch 2remains one of the most popular multiplayer FPS games.
Overwatch 2is available to play now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S.
