Earlier today, Bandai Namco announced that the new gameMy Hero One’s Justice 2will feature three additional playable characters. Given the success ofMy Hero Academiaand its ever-growing fanbase, this new game has got many fans excited for its release sometime next year.

My Hero Academiais a popular Japanese manga and anime series that has found an incredibly large amount of success all across the world. The popularity of the series inspired the release of the firstMy Hero One’s Justicegame back in October of last year, and a fewMy Hero AcademiacharactersJump Force.

The newly revealedMy Hero One’s Justice 2characters are Fat Gum, Twice, and Mr. Compress. These three characters will be added to the roster of playable characters, alongside new characters that are prominent in the latestseason of theMy Hero Academiaanime. With all of these additional characters being added andMy Hero Academia’salready large cast of characters, this game’s roster is sure to be extensive in its selection.

As is the case with most anime-based video games, it is hard to predict how well a game like this might succeed. Given the extreme level ofMy Hero Academia’spopularity, it makes sense that a series like this one would receive significant video game adaptations. There have already been twoMy Hero Academiagames that have released, but unfortunately, both were fairly forgettable experiences. With how much love and attention the series has received from the fans,My Hero Academiais a franchise that deserves quality gamesto complement an already quality anime series.

That being said, if there is one thing that Bandai Namco is famous for it’s the long list of successful fighting games the company has under its belt, such asTekken 7andDragon Ball FighterZ. Though, when it comes toMy Hero Academiaand other titles likeJump Force, the studio seems to fall short. Perhaps to have a goodMy Hero Academiagamewould require a different studio studio to work on it. Then again, the beauty of video game sequels is the developer’s ability to go back and perfect imperfections. Maybe that’s just what this newMy Hero Academianeeds.
