After months of anticipation, Warner Brothers crossover fighting gameMultiVersusis finally in the hands of the players. Just likeSuper Smash Bros Ultimate,MultiVersusbrings together characters from across different IPs to duke it out to discover who would actually win in a fight. Currently, the game features characters from popular IPs like DC Comics,Game of Thrones,The Looney Tunes, and evenTom & Jerry. It also has some pretty fun gameplay to back its roster up, and it has proven to be a hit with platform fighting fans.

WhileMultiVersushas a lot of Warner Bros. IPs, it has currently left out one of the biggest withLord of the Rings. Rumors and potential leaks suggest that someLord of the Ringscharacters are going to be joining the roster, but there could be even more. Middle-Earth is such a large and varied world that is filled to the brim with all sorts of characters that could translate well to a fighting game, and the developers ofMultiVersusreally need to tap its potential.

Lord of the Rings is One of Warner Bros. Biggest Franchises

Many people considerLord of the Ringsto be one of the best trilogies ever put to screen, and the world of Middle-Earth has been enthralling audiences ever since it was created by J. R. R. Tolkien back in 1937. People have grown to love characters like Legolas, Frodo, Sam, Gandalf, Aragorn, and even the vile Sauron. The films have been met with immense critical acclaim, and multiple chapters even took home the Best Picture award at The Oscars. It has become one of Warner Brothers most well known franchises, and it only grew afterTheLord of the Ringstrilogy.

Warner Brothers was not done with Middle-Earth after creating the beloved trilogy, so it got to work on a whole new trilogy ofMiddle-Earth adventures withThe Hobbit. The studio turned the smallest book in the series into the most amount of movies, and it proved to be very controversial amongst the fan base. However, the series still went on to become one of the most successful franchises of all time and further cemented the immense love for Middle-Earth.

Characters such as Frodo Baggins, Aragorn, Samwise Gamgee, Sauron, Saruman, and even Gimli or Gollum could fit right into theMultiVersusroster. The Middle-Earth characters should not stop there, asThe Hobbittrilogy has its own assortment of characters that could make the cut, from Bilbo Baggins and Thorin Oakenshield to Radagast and even Smaug.

There are so manyLord of the RingsandThe Hobbitcharactersthat would be great additions to the wild roster ofMultiVersus. The game is supposed to bring together Warner Brothers' biggest franchises under one roof, but it has yet to include one of the studio’s biggest properties. The vast world of Middle-Earth is just waiting to be tapped by Player First Games, and it really should deliver.
