Mortal Kombat 11game director Ed Boon has been teasing new DLC for the past week now, but nothing official has been announced. But even though Boon has yet to make anyMortal Kombat 11DLC announcement, the big reveal has seemingly leaked ahead of time. Apparently,Mortal Kombat 11will soon be getting new DLC based on the cult classic 1995Mortal Kombatmovie adaptation.

Mortal Kombat 11dataminers have discovered voice lines that were seemingly recorded by actors from the1995Mortal Kombatmovie. This strongly implies thatMortal Kombat 11is getting a voice pack DLC that will allow players to replace the voices of some of the existing characters from the game with their movie counterparts. Evidence of this has been taken down by Warner Bros., which seems to indicate that it is legitimate and not some kind of doctored audio.

While this is interesting in and of itself, what’s even more interesting is that it lends credibility to an olderMortal Kombat 11DLC leak - one that may reveal the characters who will be part of a futureKombat Packrelease.

As pointed out by Eurogamer and thethiny, this leak seems to match with an oldMortal Kombat 11DLC leakthat was posted on 4chan. The leak claimed that movie versions of the variousMK11characters would be coming to the popular fighting game. And now that that’s seemingly corroborated, it makes it easier to believe some of the other claims in the leak, especially the more “out-there” character DLC.

If the leak is accurate, thenMortal Kombat 11fans can look forward to a new Kombat Pack featuring six more DLC characters for the fighting game’s roster. These characters will supposedly include Harley Quinn, Smoke, Takeda, Michael Myers ofHalloweenfame, Mileena, and Sektor. Out of these characters, the most notable is arguablyMileena, as her absence fromMortal Kombat 11has drummed up quite a bit of controversy in the game’s community. Guest character Michael Myers is also likely to make headlines, as is the inclusion of Harley Quinn, who would be joining fellow DC Comics character Joker inMK11.

While one would think NetherRealm would rather move on to a new project, there is one big reason why it may be prepping a new Kombat Pack forMortal Kombat 11. Maybe NetherRealm is gearing up to release aMortal Kombat 11next-gen portfor PS5 and Xbox Series X, and as a way to sweeten the pot and convince some fans to double dip, it will be releasing it with these new characters in tow.

All of this is just speculation at this time, though, and fans should take this information with a massive grain of salt. Nothing official has been announced, and it’s possible that the movie voice actor leak matching with this other leak is just a coincidence.

Mortal Kombat 11is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
