TheModern Warfare 2campaignis already available to those who preordered the game. One of the missions is called Cartel Protection, and sees Ghost and Soap working with the Mexican Special Forces. During the mission, players will come across a sniper, which one player was able to bait out and kill.

A Redditor named doughy_baby uploaded a clip showing them eliminate the sniper encountered during the Cartel Protection mission inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The video shows them launching grenades into the air, almost aimlessly. The player then looks into the distance for a bit before shooting one last round. They look through their scopes and see the explosion from the grenade they fired take out the sniper trying to hide among a group of trees. The shot was amazing and shows what a bit of patience can do for someone in a shooter.
Doughy_baby’s sniper elimination has impressed a few Reddit users. One gamer asked how doughy_boy even saw the sniper, while another mentioned that they didn’t even try to kill the enemy since such a shot was adifficult play in a pastCall of Dutytitle. Doughy_baby explained that they knew where the enemy was from baiting a few shots and then keeping a lookout for a glint and tracer. The strategy worked and demonstrated a bit of skill as a shot like that is definitely not an easy one.
Theearly release of the campaign forModern Warfare 2is proving to be a good idea. According to SteamDB,Modern Warfare 2has already reached a peak concurrent player count of over 94,000 players. This is not the highest that the series has reached, asBlack Opsand theModern Warfare 2beta did reach higher numbers. However, this is impressive for a game that has not officially released yet and shows the anticipation that many gamers have for the upcoming shooter. It also displays the potential that the title has when it does officially release, when gamers such as doughy_boy will be able to prove their mettle against other players later this week.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2will release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on October 28.
