Many players like to create newMinecraftworlds to build grand structures and survive through the latest threat Mojang has added to the game through regular updates. However, one player went back to an older world to check back in on what they had previouslybuilt inMinecraft, only to spawn to immediate damage the second the game lets them start moving again.

This latest video comes from Reddit user crustynate, who shared what amounted to be only five seconds of gameplay when entering theMinecraftworld before dying. The post itself, though, has gathered over 15K up-votes at the time of this writing as well as plenty of comments either making jokes about the misfortune or sharing similar experiences.

In the video, the player can be seen loading into the world for four of the five seconds of the short clip, then immediately dying within a second of being given control of their character. On a first look, it almost appears that this death is caused from what the player spawns on, a couple of random magma blocks directly under the character’s feet. However, on closer inspection, the death flag actually shows that the death wasn’t caused byMinecraft’s weather systemor dangerous blocks, but by a Creeper that exploded out of view.

This type of surprise death that catches the player so impressively off guard is often a hilarious sight, even for the unfortunate player who is killed off in such spectacular fashion. It isn’t the type of thing that might happen for players in creative mode, or usingMinecraft’s newest command features, but for those who jump into the RNG of survival, a funny death can at least be better than a frustrating one down in a cave. Based on the comments from the original post on Reddit, it would appear that most people passing by the video find it as funny as crustynate must have found it if they were willing to post it in the first place.

It’s interesting that what appears to be shared among fans the most areimpressiveMinecraftstructures, rather than situations that pop up from the random nature of the game. This makes it all the more impressive when something happens in the survival mode or due to RNG that makes the game’s own actions worth sharing. Regardless, it is always comical to see this type of situation where a player is immediately overwhelmed as a result of the randomness that keeps the game exciting in the first place.
