It was recently announced that Paul Bettany would be making his long-anticipated return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The new Disney+ series,Vision Quest, will likely be inspired by the Marvel Comics arc of the same name. Many aspects of that storyline have already been introduced in the first MCU Disney+ series,WandaVision.

Of course, given its place in either Phase 5 or 6 of Marvel Studios' Multiverse Saga,Vision Questwill likely play an important role in the future of the MCU. Particularly, it will certainly determine the future of Bettany’s beloved android, whose fate has been questionable in previous films. These eight predictions may inform where the Disney+ series goes.
8White Vision’s Life Post-WandaVision
Fans ofWandaVisionwill recall that the current iteration of Bettany’s character in the MCU is White Vision. Reassembled from the body parts of the Vision murdered by Thanos inInfinity War, White Vision is initially directed to kill Wanda and Vision in the Westview Hex. However, his encounter with Wanda’s created Visionrecalls the memories he had lost.
Going through an existential crisis, White Vision flies off from Westview, and hasn’t been seen in the MCU since. Much like Wanda’s introduction inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, many fans will be eager to see what Vision has been up to since leaving Westview. Realistically, Vision has likely been searching for answers about his past.
7The Fate Of Wanda Maximoff
Without Vision or her children, Wanda went down a dark path duringMultiverse of Madnessto get her life back. Consumed by the Darkhold, Wanda became the Scarlet Witch, using the evil tome to hunt America Chavez for her multiverse-jumping powers. Realizing her wrongdoings,Wanda destroys the Darkhold and seemingly dies.

Of course, Kevin Feige and Elizabeth Olsen have implied that audiences haven’t seen the last of Wanda Maximoff in the MCU. The character will likely play an important role in the future of the MCU, especially in a project likeVision Quest. After all, Wanda insisted that she and Vision would meet each other again before she destroyed the Hex in the finale.
6It Was Agatha All Along
Vision Questwill also be coming after another post-WandaVisionproject,Agatha: Coven of Chaos. This series will see Kathryn Hahn reprising her fan-favorite role as Agatha Harkness,an evil witch who seeks to understand Wanda’s powers. However, fans know very little about the series, given that Agatha Harkness is a very minor comic character.
However, rumors have theorized thatAgatha: Coven of Chaoswill adapt parts of theAvengerscomic storyline known asChildren’s Crusade. Possibly, Agatha Harkness will team up with Wanda’s children, Billy and Tommy, to rescue their parents. Of course, this could prime Agatha, Billy, Tommy, or all three to later appear inVision Quest.
5Billy And Tommy, Future Avengers
Billy and Tommy’s presence in some way, shape, or form inVision Questis certainly expected by many fans. Particularly, this series could set up their role in futureAvengersteams as Wiccan and Speed, utilizing powers reminiscent of Wanda and her twin brother, Pietro. They even possessed these powers duringWandaVision.

How Billy and Tommy will return at all, though, remains a mystery. The child iterations of these characters returned inMultiverse of Madness, as Wanda sought to displace a variant of her and raise the children she lost. Perhaps the mystery of their return will spur White Vision to seek out Wanda herself, wherever she may be.
4The Origin Of The West Coast Avengers
Notably, the Vision Quest comic storyline takes place during the adventures of the West Coast Avengers. This off-shoot of the superhero team consists of Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, White Vision, Tigra, and more. However, the team has yet to make their official debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, perhaps until theVision Questseries.
Other brand-new MCU characters, like Kamala Khan, Kate Bishop, and Moon Knight become important characters in future versions of the West Coast Avengers. However, none of these characters, including Wanda and Vision, have been based on the West Coast, so who’s to say if the MCU West Coast Avengers would take the same name.
3Vision Vs. Wonder Man
The news ofVision Questalso comes with reports thatWatchmenactor Yahya Abdul-Mateen IIwill be portraying the Marvel Comics character Wonder Man in a Disney+ series. This was big news forWandaVisionfans, considering that Scarlet Witch and Wonder Man have been involved romantically in the comics before.
It’s very possible, therefore, that the Wonder Man series andVision Questwill be very connected. Perhaps MCU fans will get to see the two rivals for Wanda’s love face off, though it’ll probably be easier for fans to root for Vision in that case. Nevertheless, they’d be two powerful heroes engaging in an epic battle with high romantic stakes.
2Consequences Of Armor Wars
Prior to the announcement ofVision Quest, many fans speculated thatWhite Vision would be involved inArmor Wars. Originally a Disney+ series, the project has recently been upgraded to an official MCU film starring Don Cheadle. It had previously been announced thatArmor Warswould focus on the fate of Tony Stark’s technology.

IfVision Questfinds White Vision on a journey to learn more of his past, it’s still possible thatArmor Warswill play a huge role in that series' conflicts. As a robot designed by Stark, control over White Vision could be desired by many characters. Particularly, the government agency S.W.O.R.D. may want their secret weapon back.
Of course,Vision Questbeing a part of the MCU’s Multiverse Saga likely means fans will see some sort of payoff for the series in the climacticAvengers: Secret Warsfilm. The film is not expected to debut until 2026, which gives fans a lot of time to theorize about what Vision’s role in the film will be,assuming Paul Bettany makes it to the end of this saga.
Given thatSecret Warswill see a collision of the multiverse, it’s possible that Vision will find himself facing several versions of himself. These variants of Vision could potentially debut inVision Quest, making their ultimate fight inSecret Warsan extremely worthwhile payoff. Either way,Vision Questwill determine a lot about the MCU’s future.
