Even high-powered super villains have day-to-day problems. Hulu has released the first images forMarvel’s MODOK, a new stop-motion animated about the infamous Marvel supervillain. Announced during virtual New York Comic Con,Marvel’s MODOKstars Patton Oswalt as the titular bad guy having a series of bad days.

The news comes from Entertainment Weekly, which received a first-hand look at the new show. The images give an idea of the life of MODOK and the world he inhabits.  Having been ousted from the fictional criminal organization AIM, MODOK finds himself having a midlife crisis. As he tries to recuperate and regain his edge, he faces the challenges of everyday life, from handling his marriage to fighting large corporations impeding his business as a supervillain.

After over a decade of Marvel’s films and high-stakes action, its refreshing to see a different twist on one of the comic’s most infamous supervillains.  With Marvel movies being delayed and conventions put on indefinite hold, it’ll be interesting to see where and how Marvel adapts its properties further for online streaming services. It’s clear that Disney and Marvel are further leaning into Disney+, with theannouncement of a Nick Fury seriesstarring Samuel L Jackson
