Zeekers has given players a new challenge in the form of a new game mode called Challenge Moons with theLethal Companyversion 47 release. It is a weekly event in which players can participate solo or with friends, and compete to put their names on the leaderboard.
Since its release, the developer has followed the community’s demands and rightfully provided them. Previously, theDramatic Maskwas released after the fans requested a mimic monster. Now, the current version ofLethal Companyhas satisfied another request for a new mode.
What Are Challenge Moons?
Challenge Moons arerandomly generated mapsthat will beshuffled every Mondayof each week. These moons differ from theeight regular onesseen in the core game mode, and are more intense.
A random seed will be created for a distinct map with different names, structures,scrap values, and monsters every week. This allows the players to experience a fresh moon each week. These moons will feature more frequent monster spawns, severe weather, and valuable scraps.
You will be assignedone in-game day to gather as much scrap as possiblefrom the challenge moons and then come back to the ship. When you are playing this particular game mode, you cannot fly to any other moon, even though the moon’s name will be visible on yourterminal command.
Once you are done collecting the scraps, you will have to end the day as usual on the ship. The values of the scraps you gather in one day will then determine your rank for that run. The game style becomes more enjoyable at this point, since you can compete with other players to rank higher on the leaderboard. Since these moons are replayable, you can play and attempt to increase your ranking as much as you want throughout the week.
How To Play Challenge Moons
Like regular lobbies, you may host or join a crew for the challenge moons. To host a lobby, go to the game’s main menu and select “Host.” After entering the name of your server, select the type of lobby. Once you’re done, select the moon’s name by clicking on it from the right side of the screen,beneath the three save files. The moon will be known by a name similar to “Ouu-59” or “Voiumya-10,” but remember that it will vary weekly.
To join a public or private lobby and play as a crew, click “Join a crew” from the main menu and check the “With challenge moon” box at the top of your screen. When you view the list of servers, the challenge moon servers will bemarked purple with a “Challenge” text overlay. You may enter the lobby immediately by selecting the “Join” option.
