After an event ends,League of Legendsplayers usually get several dead weeks to calm down. FollowingSpirit Blossom 2020’srecent conclusion, the community was surprised to get missions for some new summoner icons. However, no one was expecting the next event, PsyOps 2020 to arrive so soon and run from September 3rd to September 30th.
PsyOps is a new skinline from another future universe where its agents fight against the enigmatic Black Rose Group and the new event centers around this conflict. Compared to normal, PsyOps 2020 lasts just under 4 weeks becauseLeague’s2020 World Championshipis starting towards the end of September. Besides less time, the event itself still has everything like usual without the added complexity of Spirit Blossom’s bonding with each champion.

PsyOps 2020 Missions
Just like before, all players get access to a series of free missions that can be completed multiple ways. The first mission rewards an exclusive PsyOps icon while the others give 10 PsyOps tokens each.
While there are only 5 PsyOps missions listed, players can also see a BRG mission when they begin the event, so more details on other missions will pop up eventually. Furthermore, there is one more PSYOPS mission that awards 50 tokens and a PsyOps orb for playing 30 games. Riot has also confirmed that completing all the free missions will give 300 tokens.
PsyOps 2020 Event Shop
With their hard-earned tokens, players can choose 1 item out of most things in the shop for free.
PsyOps Pass Missions
If players want to get anything else, they can spend 1650 RP to get the PsyOps Pass, which automatically comes with 200 PsyOps tokens and 4 PsyOps orbs. This will also unlock milestone missions with exclusive rewards and the ability to earn tokens after every PVP game during the event.
Finally, the pass comes with 4 weekly missions that award a significant number of PsyOps tokens. Winning any match gives 5 points while losing still grants 2 points.
Note that because of PsyOps 2020’s shortened duration, an extra weekly mission that gives 150 tokens will come out during Week 4. However,Samiraand the second set of skins for Kayle, Pyke, Viktor, and Zed will likely arrive within 1-2 weeks along with more event content so players shouldn’t rush through everything in the first few days.
