Clickers are the third stage of infected present inThe Last of Usand are best known for their split heads, lack of sight, and distinctive clicking sounds. The Clicker has become something of a favorite among the series' fans and has thus been a popular subject of fan art. Reddit user Pasq99 showed off their contribution to the pool of fan creations in the form of a Clicker statue they handmade over the course of three months. Unlike theterrifyingly life-like Clicker bust made by another fan ofThe Last of Us, this statue stands at just under four feet tall yet features similar details like the split head.
Fans on theLast of Ussubreddit were quick to give Pasq99 props for being able to recreate the Clicker in all its revolting glory. Some users pointed out how scary a statue of this size would be to see in person while another mentioned that the statue could be made more colorful with the addition of more fungal growths. This is especially relevant since this statue includes the Clicker’s twisted limbs and torn clothes, something that would not normally be included in other fan creations like thescarily accurate Clicker mask made by another fan ofThe Last of Us.
The iconic status of Clickers in theLast of Usfranchise can be attributed to their recognizable design as well as being characteristically distinct from other forms of infected. More infected types would go on to be introduced inThe Last of Us Part 2such as theRat King which was similarly recreated as a clay model by aLast of Usfan, but these have yet to become as synonymous with the franchise as the Clicker. The Clicker has become the unofficial mascot character ofThe Last of Usand is likely to continue to be so going into the future.
The Last of Us Part 1is available now on PS5.
