Tomb Raider’s two Lara Croft-titled spinoff games bring the franchise’s iconic puzzle-solving action to a top-down isometric perspective. The two games were popular among fans and critics alike and helped to revitalize the franchise which had been struggling since its heyday on the PlayStation 1. Now, the officialTomb RaiderTwitter announced that Crystal Dynamics is working with Feral Interactive to bring backGuardian of LightandTemple of Osiris. The two games will be coming to the Switch at an unannounced date confirmed to be sometime in 2022. The two companies have previously worked together on theseries with Feral assisting Crystal Dynamics in bringing theTomb Raiderreboot trilogyto MacOS and Linux.
TheLara Croftgames coming to Switch will be a welcome return for the iconicTomb Raiderprotagonist and an exciting addition for Nintendo fans. The two spinoffs will be the firstTomb Raidergames to be released on Nintendo’s hybrid handheld console and the first new releases in the franchise since2018’sShadow of the Tomb Raiderconcluded the reboot trilogy. A mobileTomb Raidertitle is also in development scheduled to release at an unspecified date in 2022.
