Ahead of the game’s launch, Square Enix has gone ahead and updated the officialKingdom HeartsDark Roadwebsite. Now it’s loaded with new screenshots, gameplay videos, and much more. It even has all of the information previously released about the game, like theDark Roadcharacter profiles.

TheDark Roadscreenshotsseem to precede ones shown off in the past, such as Eraqus approaching Xehanort to talk, and Vor, Hermond, Urd, and Bragi handing out together in class before Master Odin arrives. The most interesting shots relate to Scala Ad Caelum as they have some revealing text accompanying them.
TheDark Roadsite gives fans the first description of Scala outside of what Xehanort provides inKingdom Hearts 3. According to the lore, Scala is the main world where Keyblades Wielders — both Masters and apprentices — gather together, and this has earned it the imaginative moniker “City of Keyblade Wielders.”
If Scala is now the City of Keyblade Wielders, then some might wonder what happened to DayBreak Town, asUnion Crossgenerally depicts it as the Keyblade Wielder hub world.Union Crosswill soon enter its final chapter, so it shouldn’t be long before that information arises.Dark Roadmay even address the question in some of its early quests.
As mentioned, the website also has newDark Roadgameplayvideos accompanying it. Like a few of the new screenshots, the video shows howDark Road’s party system works. Whenever Xehanort heads out on a mission, he can choose some of his friends to tag along. Eraqus seems to be a staple party member, but the player can choose to bring along either Hermond, Urd, Bragi, or Vor.
The game will also have a side-task system where completing quests under certain conditions will grant rewards. Players can gain things like Jewels, which is the microtransaction currency that players can use to purchase items from Shop. The typical purchases made with Jewels are new cards that will allowXehanortand his friends to use new abilities.
