Call of Duty Warzoneplayers are pretty familiar with glitches and bugs as the popular free to play game has experienced plenty since its original launch early in 2020. The issues have essentially ranged from the more amusing visual style glitches, to more game breaking problems such as players glitching under a map to basically become unkillable or being invisible to other players. However, recently, a new bug known as theDemon Glitch has been plaguingWarzoneplayersto no end.
Originally discovered in 2020, the community namedDemon Glitch turned weapon textures into a spiky mess. The texture issue made the game unplayable for those impacted as the textures would block player view, especially while attempting to aim down the weapon sights. While the glitch was eventually fixed by Raven, the problem was confined to the Warzone side of the experience. However, with the Demon Glitch now resurfacing, the problem as seemingly evolved.

Call of Duty: Vanguardplayers are now reporting that the infamous demon glitch has found its way into the multiplayer side of the game. WhileWarzoneplayers have been reporting the demon texture glitchimpacting everything from weapons to even buildings, this latest evolution has seemingly turned multiplayer maps into chaotic messes. One post on the game’s subReddit shows how bad the problem has become, impacting line of sight, map terrain, and more.
In a short clip posted by Fatal_Overflow on theCall of Duty: VanguardsubReddit, the player is running through the Das Haus map and seeing all sorts of texture issues with the familiar spikes exploding all around them. Unfortunately, as some pointed out, reinstalling texture caches, drivers, and even the game itself hasn’t solved the glitching textures. For PC players, some have reported that reverting Nvidia drivers back to the December version does the trick, though others have mentioned that a day later they’re asked to update out of date drivers.
While there doesn’t appear to be a fix quite yet for the Vanguard issue, the game is currently under siege from a variety of other issues that are impacting players. In fact, the problems have gotten so bad that the officialCall of DutyTwitter account issued a formal statement and apologyto players, indicating that the various Activision owned studios are working on fixes for the issues that currently plague the experience. The Tweet specifically mentioned things like bug fixes, camo and weapon challenge tracking, spawn logic, and more are priorities for the teams.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
