By all accounts,Immortals Fenyx Risinghas been well received. Although there aresome graphical limits on the Xbox Series X, the game has enough fun elements to earn a spot in players' hearts and on their shelves.
It’s not a big shock thatImmortals Fenyx Risingis an open-world game considering it is published by Ubisoft. It does, however, differ from the standard Ubisoft open-world formula in many ways, from transportation to exploration. That second point is important to note, because filling out the map works a little differently inImmortals Fenyx Risingthan other Ubisoft titles.

Find the God Statue
Anyone playingImmortals Fenyx Risingfor the first time will notice that ittakes several notes fromBreath of the Wild. One of these is in its approach to filling out the map. First and foremost, just likeBreath of the Wildand manyAssassin’s Creedgames, players must find a vantage point. In this case, that vantage point is one of the god statues. Each realm has one, and they let the player view that god’s whole area.
Reaching the top of a Statue is pretty simple. They can be found easily, since they tower over everything, and then it’s just a matter of gliding and climbing. Both of these involve the stamina system, which isone aspect that players didn’t like so muchbut it’s not awful by any stretch. In fact, it’s easy enough that players can revisit it at regular intervals, which they likely will.
Mark the Points
Similar toBreath of the Wild, players will be setting their own points of interest. Players must actively hunt for points of interest by using Far Sight, which will show glowing points of interest. The controller will vibrate and the reticule will glow to indicate a point of interest is near, and then the player must move the cursor until a ‘Reveal’ option becomes available. These points can then be marked to reveal an activity.
The Statues can be re-visited to mark new points at a player’s discretion or they can do so while out adventuring. This makes for a repetitive trek, but also ensures players aren’t overwhelmed. It also lets them explore for themselves, rather than have the map filled out automatically. Using Far Sight might also help players find amount to tame.
Immortals Fenyx Risingis available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
