Nickelodeon All-Star Brawlis managing to show a lot of love to cartoon franchises of the past and present. The wildly popularSpongeBob SquarePantsis being represented through several characters, as isAvatar: The Last Airbender. Other shows with a character that makes sense for a fighting game, likeDanny Phantom, are also being featured. WithRen and Stimpy,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and several other franchises represented, theNickelodeon All-Star Brawlroster is stacked.

However, with them main roster ofNickelodeon All-Star Brawlnow public knowledge, fans know which franchises have been left out. While many are let down by characters likeMy Life As A Teenage Robot’s Jenny not making a cut, one of the biggest Nickelodeon franchises has been completely ignored. There is no representation forThe Fairly OddParentsanywhere in the game, and while it seemed like the DLC could correct this, the datamined cast list once again ignores the series. With so much potential for aFairly OddParents’ character’s moveset, this is a genuine shame.

Why The Continued Snubbing Of The Fairly OddParents Is Frustrating

Based on theleaked DLC roster forNickelodeon All-Star Brawl, some franchises that already have characters in the game will be getting even more attention. AnotherAvataraddition is a no-brainer, while theTMNTvillain Shredder could be a ton of fun to play as if the rumors prove true. While these franchises will end up with four representatives,SpongeBobwill apparently reach six once the datamined DLC lineup is complete. This is a massive number of characters from one franchise, especially whenFairly OddParentshas zero characters in the game.

Not includingFairly OddParentsin the DLC lineup makes little sense, especially with other beloved series like Jimmy Neutron finally being shown some love. Adding to the disappointment is the fact that Nickelodeon has canceled the beloved series five times, which is strange given the show’s lasting popularity and impact on meme culture. While it may not beas recognizable asSpongeBob, it is still a relevant and well-known series, so seeing the mistreatment continue in the world of gaming is a shame. With not a single character from the show available on the roster, and the DLC leaks showing no evidence ofFairly OddParentscharacters ever coming, fans of Timmy, Wanda, and Cosmo are understandably bothered.

Why The Fairly OddParents Content Would Be So Good

A big part of whyFairly OddParentsbeing ignored is so confusing is the fact that a fun moveset is so easy to imagine. Timmy Turner could call upon Wanda and Cosmo to wish up a huge variety of weapons, as their magic would be limitless. Alongside items, Timmy could wish for other characters to appear. Calling in the Crimson Chin to beat down Timmy’s opponents would be a lot of fun, and countless other cameos could help Timmy serve as an homage to the entireNickelodeon series.

Beyond just Timmy, other characters could be fun to see as well. With some strange picks like Nigel Thornberry and April O’Neil,Ludosityis clearly willing to throw in some unexpected faces to add depth to its roster. As such, while Timmy is an obvious first choice, several other characters could feature. Mr. Crocker could hit people with his net, Jorgan Von Strangle could shout at players about “Da Rules,” and Vicky’s overall evilness could make her a terrifying force in any arena. With possible stages like a Chip Skylark concert or Dimmsdale possible, the sky is the limit for content based on the show.

Unfortunately, the leaks make that seem highly unlikely. While there is potential for a second Fighter Packlike withSuper Smash Bros. UltimateorMortal Kombat 11, there is already a lot of DLC planned forNickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Hopefully, the game takes off and the post-launch content plans are expanded further, becauseFairly OddParentsdeserves some of the love that so many other Nickelodeon shows are getting. For now, though, it is arguably the biggest show that has been completely left out of the fighting game.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawlis available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
