How to Use Ash of War: Cragblade in Elden Ring

Like with all Ashes of War, players will first need toget their hands on the Whetbladefound at the Gatefront Ruins of Limgrave. The Whetblade allows players to apply Ashes of War to their armaments. Cragblade is a versatile Ash of War that can be applied to any melee armament with a replaceable skill.

Upon activating the Cragblade skill, the Tarnished drives their weapon into the ground, infusing it with the power of gravity toincrease physical and stance damage. This skill has a meagerFP cost of 16, and the buff lasts for a minute. Players won’t have to invest any points in Mind to build around the Cragblade skill.

Cragblade works best with weapons that deal substantialamounts of poise damage, such as Greatswords, Colossal Weapons, Giant Hammer, and so on. It used to increase stance damage by 20%, but FromSoft had to halve it, as players were abusing the extra stance damage from Cragblade to breeze through bosses. Regardless, it remains a powerful Ash of War, and nobody should underestimate it.
