How To Get Rough Amber
Rough Amber is a gemcommonly found within Grassland Caves, easily recognizable by its distinct color. These caves generate randomly throughout the Grassland biome, but once discovered, they will be marked with a cave icon on the map, making them easy to revisit.
To mine Rough Amber, players willneed a Rare or higher rarity Pickaxe.Using the appropriate tool, they can chip away at Amber nodes, which willdrop Rough Amber upon being harvested, ready for collection. Once players have gotten their hands on Rough Amber, they can move on to converting it into Cut Amber.
How To Get Cut Amber
Cut Amber, like all other gems inLEGO Fortnite Odyssey, iscrafted using the Gem Cutter.This Utility Station can be built via the Build Menu using the following materials:
Once constructed, players can interact with the Gem Cutter, select the Cut Amber recipe, and deposit Rough Amber to be converted from either their inventory or nearby Storage. EachRough Amber converts into one Cut Amber, making it easy to track how much is needed to craft this valuable resource beforehand.
Alternatively, players canhave their villagers work at the Gem Cutterto acquire Cut Amber passively. This can be done by selecting the ‘collect gems’ dialogue option when assigning a job to a villager. Once done, the villager will get to work crafting gems, and players can check back in with them later to receive Cut Amber.
What Is Cut Amber Used For?
Crafting Weapons
Cut Amber is primarily used tocraft gem weapons and tools, similar to other gems like Sapphires and Emeralds. Players can apply Cut Amber to the blade/limb/head of their weapons and tools via the Crafting Bench, upgrading them to Epic rarity.
While weapons and tools crafted with Amber offer similar damage output to other gem-based items,Amber-crafted gear boasts the highest durabilityof all gems, making it an excellent choice for players looking for long-lasting equipment.
Cut Amber is also a key ingredient in crafting various weapons, includingGem Shields, Gem Flint-Knocks, and Gem Muskets, all of which can be crafted at the Crafting Bench.
That’s not all—Cut Amber is also an essential resource forcrafting the Bow Caster via the Rebel Workbench, making it a valuable material for players looking to expand their arsenal.
Building Chests
InLEGO Fortnite Odyssey, there is a selection of chests that players can craft using gems, each offering increased storage compared to many other chests in the game. Cut Amber, in particular, isused to craft Amber Chests, requiring 4 Cut Amber and 2 Metal Plates to build them via the Build Menu.
Just like other Gem Chests,Amber Chests provide storage for 28 unique items, making them some of the best chests in the game.
Creating Charms
Just like other gems before it, Cut Amber is also used to craft charms via the Crafting Bench. Currently, there are only two charms that use Cut Amber in their recipes:the Epic Health Charm and the Legendary Storm Charm.
The Epic Health Charm offers 4 additional hearts along with 3 extra defense points. The Legendary Storm Charm offers the exact same benefits, only this time alsoallowing players to remain in the Storm biomefor 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
