Honkai: Star Railhas officially announced the arrival of their new five-star character Yunli for Version 2.4. Developer HoYoverse continues to add new characters to its roster, with Boothill being the most recent addition. He arrived as part of the second banner phase of the ongoing Version 2.2.
The first part ofHonkai: Star Rail2.2 added the popular Halovian singer Robin, whose banner has already expired, meaning that players will have to wait for a re-run to add her to their roster. Even though the official release ofHonkai: Star Rail Version2.3 is still a couple of days away, the game’s social media accounts have already revealed the character additions for 2.4.
Honkai: Star Rail’s official Twitter account has revealed the introduction and splash art of the new five-star character, Yunli. The official bio describes Yunli as a sword hunter from Xianzhou Zhuming, one of the six Flaships owned by theHexafleet of the Xianzhou Alliance. This alliance is led by the legendary General Huaiyan, who is also Yunli’s grandfather. From a young age, Yunli practiced swordsmanship, and she became the second-youngest swordmaster of the Flamewheel Octet. One of the character’s main goals is to hunt down and destroy all cursed words in the world.
According to the official announcement, Yunli will be a newHonkai Star Railcharacter who follows the Path of Destruction. This path is usually reserved for flexible characters who have high DEF and HP stats and can deal large amounts of damage. Even though the flame-like visuals in her splash art led many players to believe that she was a Fire user at first, the image features a Physical damage symbol which means that she will have this combat type.
Will Yunli Be the Only New 5-star in Honkai: Star Rail 2.4?
Some replies in the comment section suspect that she could have great synergy with characters that use this combat type. At the moment, there is not a lot of information about Yunli other than that she will be featured on one of the banners inHonkai: Star RailVersion 2.4. The fact that she is the only announced character means that update 2.4 will probably feature at least one banner re-run.
Even though previous leaks suggested that 2.4 could also include a new character unit named Jianqiu, it seems like players may have to wait much longer to pull for this playable unit. Another character that has been mentioned in multiple leaks for this update is theMechanical Aristocrat Screwllum I. Despite appearing in the game’s official storyline, Screwllum probably won’t be joining the roster in the foreseeable future.
