1Jing Yuan + Sunday + Robin + Huohuo
Sundayis undoubtedly one of thebest supports for characters with summonssuch as Jing Yuan. He not only advances the target’s turn but also their summons, allowing Jing Yuan’s Lightning Lord (LL) to move immediately. This removes Jing Yuan’s weakness where players must wait for his LL to take action and unleash massive damage.
As Jing Yuan’s LL hits are considered a follow-up attack, the next best support is none other than Sunday’s sister,Robin. Robin also helps with Jing Yuan’s need to move often as she grants an immediate turn to the entire team when she uses her Ultimate.
For the sustain unit, players can either go forHuohuoorAventurine. Huohuo is highly recommended if the boss isn’t too offensive as she may struggle with healing otherwise. With Huohuo, she can restore the team’s Energy, allowing Robin to advance the team’s action more often and for Sunday to restore more of Jing Yuan’s Energy.
All in all, this team is highly supportive of maximizing Jing Yuan’s damage, his Lightning Lord, and also helping with his Energy all at the same time.
2Jing Yuan + Robin + Tingyun + Aventurine
Although Sunday is an amazing support for summoners,Robinis the more universal support between the two. So it’s understandable if more players own Robin than Sunday. If Robin is not available, players canswap her with a Nihility characterlikeJiaoqiuorPelainstead.
Meanwhile, to replace Sunday, players can useTingyun, who has a similar kit of granting ATK, DMG Bonus, and Energy for one allied unit. Finally, for the sustain character, use either Aventurine or Huohuo.Aventurineis preferable if the boss is offensive and requires players to constantly heal or shield.
3Jing Yuan + Tingyun + Pela + Huohuo
As a4-star unit inHonkai: Star Rail,Tingyunis an excellent buffer that is comparable to 5-star units. Having Tingyun andHuohuoon the same team ensures Jing Yuan can use his Ultimate during each cycle since they both constantly regenerate his energy. Moreover, both Support units will regularly buff Jing Yuan’s ATK% and DMG. When using their Skills, Bronya will instantly give the General his turn back, while Sparkle will advance his action by 50%, which is sufficient for him to attack once more before his LL. Additionally, both Harmony units will insanely buff Jing Yuan’s ATK%, DMG, and most importantly, CRIT DMG. As forHuohuo, she operates as a Support for the entire team by healing them, increasing their ATK%, and slightly helping with their energy management.
Since all Supporting characters use Skill Points frequently, Sparke plays an essential role by increasing Skill Points capacity and providing the team with constant Skill Points replenishment through her Ultimate. More importantly, Jing Yuan will progressively get stronger as the team consumes more Skill Points. However, since the team demands proper Skill Points management and a lot of Energy Regeneration stats, if they end up being too hard for the players' taste, players can either replace Bronya withTingyunor Huohuo withLuocha.
5Jing Yuan + Asta + Welt + Luocha
Jing Yuan’s Lightning Lord has a base SPD of 60, but each additional stack increases the SPD by 10, which means one Skill cast from the General will bump the follow-up attack’s SPD by 20. Players can better increase Jing Yuan’sperformance by using Tingyun, but this team mostly focuses on impairing the enemies.Astawill keep the team boosted with SPD whileWeltcan slow the opponents. Since this team is heavy on using Skill Points,Luochais essential for the team survivability without using Skills. His AoE Ultimate also provides more Imprisonment if he breaks opponents’ Toughness.
6Jing Yuan + Topaz & Numby + March 7th + Clara
In the Simulated Universe, players must choose a Path to walk on. Among the available Paths is the one of Aha, the Aeon of Elation. ElationBlessing inHonkai: Star Railfocuses on follow-up attacks, and this team is all about it. With Jing Yuan’s Lightning Lord,Clara’s Svarog counter,March 7th’s counter, andTopaz’s follow-up buffs and attacks, this team is filled with follow-up attackers.
However, despite Clara’s tanking and March 7th shielding, you may end up lacking in terms of protection if you didn’t get the defensive Elation Blessings that heal and/or boost DEF upon triggering follow-up attacks. In this case, it’s best to swap March 7th out with a healer if it’s too hard to survive. Meanwhile, if you’re not struggling with survivability, then March can also bereplaced with supports that enhance offense, likePelaorTingyun.
